@katherinehall19673 жыл бұрын
Ana Kelly: OMG😵, me too!!!! I'm not so alone in the world!!!👏🏻 I have a tough time keeping all of my electrolytes up, but sodium is especially HARD to keep at high enough levels to keep me alive! Then I started eating ramen everyday or nearly everyday, and my sodium levels are much easier to build and maintain. I too salt my pickles, often til they're crusted over. I can always tell when my sodium is starting to drop, because I can't taste salt at all, even if I ate a whole spoonful, when it drops alarmingly low. I also found that himalayan salt works the best for me, because it contains sodium, potassium magnesium and calcium. My magnesium issues disappeared when I discovered himalayan salt. My doctor was fascinated when I told him that I can tell by how the cramp behaves which electrolyte (or electrolytes) is dropping dangerously low. Don't want to frighten you, but make sure to keep those levels up: severely low sodium causes the brain stem to collapse, then death. Terrifying. You are in my prayers. 🙏🏻 Stay well.

Emmy. I tried this the other night when I was home feeling sick after my second covid shot, and it was amazing. I don’t think I have ever commented on a KZbin video but I just felt I needed to say that your lovely personality and cheerful curious attitude are so refreshing and cool. Your videos have cheered me up during sad times, and introduced me to delicious foods I never would’ve tried otherwise. You’re a treasure.

Rhode Island must be an expensive place to live. Sapporo Ramen is 49 cents here and Maruchan is 39 cents. If you add an egg, Kewpie mayo, garlic and green onions to ANY ramen it'll be great. Thanks, Emmy! You're still the greatest!!

I use to make “ramen pucks”. So… in a 1cup-ish tuber-ware container I’d put some uncooked bacon, cooked chicken, onions, garlic, peas, maybe some seaweed, and anything else that happens to be in the kitchen. Top it off with some chicken stock, put it in the freezer. Once I was hungry, put a “puck” in the pot, top with water, boil, add noodle, enjoy. The whole concept was prep for later convenience, but make it taste good.

I love you Emmy. I just bought Kewpie on Amazon this month. It's eggy and a bit tangier than American mayonnaise, I love it. I used some in a cheese sauce with garlic and soft white cheese with cornstarch. I cooked chicken and added the sauce on top, let it finish cooking 1 minute before serving it. I call it garlic cheesey sauce chicken. Yummy! 😋 I learned how to cook from my family and friends who are cook's for restaurant's. It takes practice and skills to cook like a professional. I love cooking. I think of it as being art and poetic. It helps me to relax and release stress. 👍

My husband does a hack similar to this too. Also I couldn’t love this chef more. She’s almost zen in her presence and presentation. I wasn’t sure about the product pitch but when I heard her support of women’s needs she totally endeared herself to me. Bless her! I’m going to watch more of her recipes now. I know that sounds stupid maybe but I found it lovely.

I watch every video Emmy makes about ramen, because I enjoy all the different ways to spruce up instant noodles. I tried this version just now and... it might be my favorite! The savory, creamy, garlicky broth is so nice! I did have to stray from the recipe a bit: I used Best Foods mayo cuz that's what I got. I have the Sapporo ramen, but in Original flavor. I put a thinly sliced serrano pepper in the broth to give it a kick. And of course I added my favorite ramen toppings like crunchy chili, nori flakes, sesame seeds and a few dashes of fish oil, as well as the green onion. I also tempered the mixture so the hot water wouldn't cook the egg-- just slowly adding the water a half-cup at a time while whisking did the trick. I recommend this highly! So good!
