I really like putting a little bit of gochujang and a tiny flock of butter in it, it makes it very rich and creamy, not too spicy but a little more flavor and sweetness, depending on the soup base flavoring i adjust other ingredients I add :)

Love your channel. I've been obsessed with all the Ramen hacks. Borderline high blood pressure and told to avoid salt. I throw the seasoning packet out and make it my own. Kewpie mayo, egg, cheese, chili oil......Also use the plain noodles in stir fries. I'm all ears. BTW, peanut butter and sriracha go very well together. For those that like it as a soup. Add some frozen peas while boiling. Whisk an egg or two in like egg drop soup.

Favorite ramen hack: 1/2 or less water, so when it cools, it's closer to stew than soup Melt some butter, or put some sesame oil, or olive oil (to "taste" in the boiling water, along with the seasonings). When boiling, stir noodles, as often as needed. May need a bit more "fat", once you raste iy.

I recently discovered that cabbage is great with ramen. I cook some carrots, onions and celery in a pot, then add some diced cabbage (that I keep in my freezer), add peices of leftover chicken, add the noodles and flavor packet and let it cook. It's filling, comforting, and very good for you because of the vegetables.

I really love the variation I found from chef Roy Choi, of L.A. Son. He cooks it for two minutes and then adds the flavor pack, and cooks it for 3 minutes more. Then he stirs in 1/2 tbsp butter (I use 1 tbsp peanut butter), turns off the heat, and then poaches an egg in the broth, gently pulling the noodles over the egg, for 3 to 5 minutes. He tops it with a slice of American cheese, sesame seeds and chopped green onion (green parts only). I use the whole green onion and add a some soy sauce and a hit of sriracha sauce. Yummy!

You know, the topping combo you put might actually pair up quite well with some warm spices like juniper berries & a little bit of cloves (not to be confused with garlic cloves, & think how many different seafood seasonings & seafood spice mixes use it). Juniper berries also do make for great kimchi additions in all the different kinds, especially since those happen to have natural yeast starters

I lived in Korea for 8 years and never saw Mayo used, but I was not a Mukbang fan. The hack everyone used was American cheese on top and kimchi. I always chopped some spam into strips that would fit chopsticks and fried it crisp. I would add an egg last to poach in the soup and top with a Kraft single and some kimchi. Jin ramen (mild) is good if you do something fancy with Korean ramen, food flavor, and not very spicy. My favorite thing was Buddae jjigae or Army Base stew. They were sold in frozen packs you could take home or if your area had one there were "Restaurants" that made fresh take and make versions for a family. There are a lot of Korean restaurants opening up here where I live in Dalat, Vietnam but they only sell BBQ mostly and some places offer street food snacks like rice cakes. I am waiting for one to do kimchi stews. I miss the buddae Jjigae.

They're totally different plants. Chives are actually perennial, and you only cut the tops. Green onions get pulled, washed, and you use the whole plant, tops as green onions, bottoms as just sliced Spring onions.

The noodle XL package wasn’t that big. 😆😆 I use two packets of noodles to fill me up. I can definitely finish the XL noodles on my own, and I’m not the type who likes to share. lol 😝 If that was sold where I live, I’d definitely buy it. I like making my ramen noodles with tomato sauce, Greek cheese sprinkled on top with a bit of salt and pepper. I call it red sauce ramen. I also make what I call white sauce ramen. I use a bit of butter, salt, pepper and little bit of sour cream to make the noodles creamy. If I want something quick, I make ramen with a bit of butter, salt and pepper. Done! Sometimes i like to experiment with ramen and I end up with ingredients that work well together. 🙂 I NEVER use the flavor packets that come with the pack of noodles. WAY too much sodium. It spikes up high blood pressure.
