Make Easy Dog Bone Neck Pillows in 2 Sizes

Do you or someone you love have neck or upper back problems? Not promising that these 2 dog bone shaped pillows (Sm & Med) will cure you but some doctors actually prescribe the use of these! Use one while sitting in your recliner, on the couch, in the car and especially in bed. Whichever way, they’ll feel great!
This style of pillow has been around forever but what makes my Winner Designs Templates so much better is the No Slip Backing. No need for a paper template that gets lost, beat up, or cut into - resulting in less that consistent results.
When you cut with my No Slip Template, every pillow will be consistent. Plus, my friend Brenda Mays, who requested these templates, wanted a cute dip that makes them look more like dog bones. Even better, the templates have Cut Marks that make it easy to cut into that area.
These make great gifts but if you give one, be prepared for requests for more! They make great items to sell. Use coordinating fabric and offer a bundled price to sell the 2 sizes together.
My video will show how to cut, stitch, add straps or ties, stuff and close them up. I also show another style of pillow using 2 pieces of fabric rather than 3. It results in a flatter pillow that’s a good alternative for those that don’t like the feel of the original bone pillow.

Does it matter what material you use for this? I love this pattern. I have a lot of neck problems. My mom has one of these. And totally loved it. She has the middle one. Tyfs

So glad to hear that your mom has one & loves it. They really do help! As for fabrics, there are so many choices. If it's for yourself, choose a nice, comfy fabric like a good polar fleece, flannel or Minky, or similar. If it's for a rough guy like mine, choose home dec fabrics, recycled pillows, recycled clothing & blue jeans or similar. Mine is hard on them & the pillow will get dirty! If you're new to sewing, try a quilting cotton to get the process down before you try Minky as it can be tricky to use. Have fun!

Got through the Eye Surgery, but I was told that I had kneeled on the kitchen floor for about 4+ hour, straight as a board. Was taken by ambulance for a 4 day stay and then sent to a transitional care facility for rehab. Not sure exactly how long I have been here and have no memory of hospital nor the time I came here. I think I get released this coming Saturday, but my family has decided I can’t live alone so I lose my present home, have to sell the furniture and limit my possessions to move into a spare room my oldest daughter is getting ready for me. It means I have to break my lease agreement and lose my independence. I know they mean well, but they don’t understand how I feel and my independence. I am taking all my templates and the cutter as well as ALL of my fabric and my 3 machines. I get evaluated again at the end of this week.

I'm trying to order a dogbone neck pillow and they come in 3? D, E and F and nothing on the there says what those letters are referring to.. thickness? Height? Length.. and I've Googled EVERYWHERE including Google ai.. who couldn't really explain it either.

Hi Angela - I'm so sorry; I'm not sure what you're referring to. I've got 2 Dog Bone Neck Pillow templates - a Small and a Medium. The Medium template is 9 1/2" Width x 9" (18") Tall and finishes at approx. 8" Width x 16" Tall. The Small Template is 7 5/8" Width x 7" (14") Tall and finishes at approx. 6" Width x 12" Tall. When you make either size, you'll fold your fabric and place the straight edge of the template on the fold and cut. You'll do that 3 times to cut 3 dog bones to stitch together. I don't think I ever refer to D, E and F anywhere. Let me know if I misunderstood your question. Thanks!
