I'm an experienced hp soapmaking and definitely prefer it. ultimate guide to hp is a great resource. The speed of the cook depends on oils, temp, and amount of stirring. Get ti know the stages and additives that will give you more fluidity and you can do a lot of things with it! Welcome to the club loved your video, BTW.

Beautiful soap! I love HP soap but it's been so long since I've done one. I've seen others mentioned yogurt and other after cook additives. The book ultimate guide to HP has some great info about after cook additives like yogurt, sodium lactate, butters, and even cetyl alcohol!! It's a great book! I absolutely recommend. Great job on your first HP soap ❤

where can I get a soap cutter like the one you are using here? loved the video..also saw another 'video' and it says not to scrape the dry soap off the sides because it will of course stay hard and you will be able to see it in finished soap...she suggested KEEPING it off the sides and not opening the lid for 30 mins so the water will not evaporate (keeping the soap more moist) as to not dry it out. just fyi...Im learning myself...thinking about switching to hot process method myself...im on the fence but I guess we can always do both! thanks
@3baashandmadesoaps937
@3baashandmadesoaps937 6 ай бұрын
Hello thanks for the advice🩷. If I’m not mistaken the cutter is linked in the description ( let me check to be sure). I’ve since made a lot of hot process soaps on and off camera and have come to love the look I get from scraping the sides lol. I think it adds to the rustic look which is what eventually won me over lol. I’m not sure how long the other person cooked their hp soap for but mine is done in like 30mins( I cook on high) so I personally have to check within that 30min timeframe. I’m still in the learning stages (experimenting) and just trying to figure out what works best for me.
