Join us on our recent trip from Yeppoon to the Whitsundays & back in our 2400 Kevlacat Trailerboat, Heave Ho.
This trip was shorter than last year with us only being gone for just under 1 month. We were plagued by bad weather unfortunately but that didn't stop us proving you can do it safely again!
In this episode, we leave the Duke Island Group & head for Digby Island before short stopovers at Scawfell Island & Thomas Island, then onto Hamilton to escape the wind & reset. This part was a big wake up for us, realising how much we are held to the weather, especially when there's a time limit for the trip...

Those currents between the islands can be amazing, used to paddle outrigger canoes up there, that's when you find how strong the currents are,,,,, the joys of 20Ish and fit, not 50s n fat n happy

Just back at it mate.. planning the next steps.. Took a bit to edit this one as we really couldn't do too much exciting stuff due to the weather unfortunately. Doesn't really make for good watching. But, its just how it is when your doing it in a small boat.
