Had missed this one originally. How did you find the 5990? I am yet to go in a KC2400 but went out in a Seatrek in some slop the other week and it went awesome. Been in a couple of KC6.2s and KC5.2s which I like too.

Hey mate, yeah the Seatrek is a great small boat! I had know that boat very well so it wasn’t a shock of how good it was. In my opinion the KC24 is a lot better/bigger boat. But of course right? That said, the Seatrek and the smaller KC are awesome on fuel and go the same places so they’re hard to beat

Hi guys , I am at home after shoulder surgery and with all this time started searching our dream. Must say you guys are our closest to our dream. Have watched everything. Love the new rig. We live on Beach at Brisk Bay, Bowen so we look directly across towards Glouster island , Monty’s Resort. Ever need anything in area look us up or we will see you on the water sometime.

Thanks mate! yeah we cant wait to hit the reef again! Jillza is actually in the Firies not Ambos but same same... the whole emergency services teams are not paid nearly enough compared to how much we all rely on them. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Hey, it’s a 9.9hp and the boats a 3.3m I think solo a 6 would be just enough. The 9.9 flies by yourself, just planes with 4 people… just..

Finally out fishing! Not sure of space on the front deck but have you considered a davit arm and winch to put the dinghy on the front deck on fishing days? The davit arm and winch wouldn't need to be a particularly high rating so could be made removable.

Thanks mate, yeah we have committed to leaving it there for this year but I’m leaning more and more on putting it up on the back awning with a crane… I don’t think I’ll be 100% happy until it’s moved…

I’ve got rubber covers for my usb charge outlets to stop that light when not in use. I’ve also found that led lights can be dimmed down with nail polish dabbed on them.

If you get sick of the marine head and all its headaches look at a composting toilet like a Natures Head, so simple, so cheap, almost no maintenance.

Just remembered something from my trucking days.. The blue light problem .. try painting it with Mistake correction fluid .. not sure what it is called .. "tipix" or white out.. I used it on a very bright blue light on my fridge in my truck.. worked a treat .Shows my age.. very old technology lol

Mmmm I’d say between 300 & 450nm depending on speed & ocean. Still keen to do some testing on figures with one engine which should improve that for longer runs…

Hey, well in short we both still work, so the boat stuff is only a hobby. We'd love nothing more than to go off and do it full time, but we just can't unfortunately. This plan was always going to be the retirement plan in 15-20yrs but when we did our trip in the Kevlacat we decided, why wait. So we sold our house we had been renovating for the past 6rs and downsized to a unit and this boat. Maybe not the smartest move financially, but you only live once hey...
