Great video and great painting job for outside! I've done this several times too and you did a great job of showing and explaining how to do it. I always just pull the bumper off to paint it (I hate masking.), but that's just personal preference. A little bit of lumber, a cheap furnace filter or two, an old fan and some plastic will net you a decent, cheap, "paint booth" that will work outside or in your garage. I used the fan and filters to make the booth "positive pressure" inside it, so the fan doesn't suck in outside debris and bugs. You have to test the size of the "output" holes in the plastic to be sure your fan can keep up with the air they exhaust. This will usually allow you to get a pretty decent paint job. Best of luck to you, looking forward to the repaint. P.S. Just sharing my experience, if you'd rather I didn't, just let me know.

Yes sir this is what I'm taking about a project made simple so anyone can do it. Great job on everything! Another thing that I personally like is the message your sending out, even though it's a car channel a lot of things you say can be applied to life in general. All you need is Faith in yourself and the will to self educate yourself while being open minded to suggestions!
@BREW2LFOXBODY6 жыл бұрын
First off, Thank you for taking the time to comment AS ALWAYS! This is type of feedback that I need (good or bad) so that I know if the message is coming across or not. I just want people to know that anything is possible when you put your mind to it, It doesn't take a lot of money to do most things in life. Another subscriber said something that I totally agree with, "VANITY IS A DISEASE" who cares what others think of you BUT never think too much of yourself, Just have some faith in your abilities!

BREW2L your right man. Everything seems difficult before you try it I think.. Im setting up my friends barn to paint mine in, our plan was to wet the ground so its not dusty and cover it and the walls with plastic sheets. Im probably going with plastidip tho, just because its a little better to me that if i mess up too bad I can just peel it off and start over, vs sanding it off. This will be my first time painting a car so im a little more cautious. Ill post pics on a video when its done to share what you helped me create brother.

Great video. I'll keep it in mind when I paint my car. It was originally a red car. Someone painted it black, but the title says "Red". I prefer red myself, so I have a reason to paint it. I like Torch Red, but I'm probably going to do Ruby Red.

Not a bad paint job. I'm not going to hate the job, but it is something anyone can do in their own garage. I want to do something like since I went to school for auto mechanics. I so want a project car like yours. What kind of a air compressor do you have that is good to paint stuff? I'm shopping for one. I may spend maybe $300 for one. Any advise is always helpful. I still love the paint job.
@BREW2LFOXBODY6 жыл бұрын
I’m using a craftsman 33gal air compressor. You should definitely give it a try.

5:46 Pantera? NIce! What's the paint code? EP? Turned pretty damn good. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is paint a car in a paint booth. That's how it was at a few of the shops I painted at over the years. I would get a better result painting on prep decks than I would putting the car in a booth. My parents had a black '94 Bronco that the quarter panel wheel lips were rusting out on. They wanted me to fix it so they could sell it. I did the body work and painted it in the drive way. They liked the results so much, they ended up keeping it. I told them it was gonna rust out again and they should sell it asap. They didn't listen, it rusted again! Hahahaha! Oh well, I warned em. You make a good point about painting outside though. It can be done and the results would surprise most people.
@BREW2LFOXBODY6 жыл бұрын
Yes sir!!! Pantera and EP. you’re correct I’ve seen some really nice paint jobs done outside. A good wet sand and buff can really clean up some trash in the paint. Again you are spot on with the booth problem. Then fans can pull trash in and cause an overspray/ dry spray issue if it’s not setup properly. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
