I think a glue stick will work better than liquid glue cuz then you can go right through it and then put like a glossy regular glue and brush it on on top or something to protect the top of your puzzle

Heey thank you so much! And did you say this could work on a deep point blade too? I have that and not the knife I just thought I had to get the knife too
@DesignsByMissM3 жыл бұрын
Definitely! Before I had a Maker, I use to cut chipboard with a deep cut blade. :)

Thank you Mandee for a wonderful tutorial! Just wondering if I can use 6x8 photo instead of printing the image out? As the quality and paper of the photo is better than the one from my HP printer. Thanks
@DesignsByMissM3 жыл бұрын
The reason you need to print it out is because you'll need the registration marks around the image, otherwise the cutting machine won't know where to make the cuts. But, you could definitely download the image with the registration marks included, and have it professionally printed for better quality!

@@DesignsByMissM how can I download the imagem with registration marks ? I want to print the imagem with more quality and for that I can't print with Cricut sistem :(
@genevievehuman55222 жыл бұрын
Hi Mandee. I want to create a hight quality puzzle - 500 pieces. I can't use method 2 as this would take too long. I was wondering whether I could put the picture side down to the mat (the card side up) - would this protect the image from being worn down& form the rubber rollers?
@DesignsByMissM2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried doing that. The tackiness of the cutting mat might hurt your printed image. But, if you print it on maybe a glossier paper, or have it printed on a high quality machine, then maybe it would work. I can't say for sure, but best of luck!!

did you experiment with cutting paper side down? Does it still leave roller wheel marks?
@DesignsByMissM3 жыл бұрын
I didn't try it that way because I was worried about the ink being on the sticky part of the mat, but it could be worth a try!

What pressure do you use for chipboard? I’ve been using sticker paper and chipboard 1.0mm and I can’t get it to cut through and keep my image intact. Any tips? Explore 2
@DesignsByMissM3 жыл бұрын
I set it as "Heavy Chipboard 2.0 mm" when I made this puzzle. If you are using an Explore machine, then make sure you are using a deep cut blade. if it still isn't cutting through, maybe send the design a second time (without ejecting the mat).
@zjanazjac38333 жыл бұрын
@@DesignsByMissM thank you I’ll definitely try it again

hey im new with cricut and I have a question. Should I leave some space in my chipboard so the machine cut the borderlines? or should I cut it as the final piece so the machine only cut the interiors? I hope you can understand me

Hi There! You'll want your machine to cut both the outside borders and the interior lines. The file provided includes both. :)

Hello Mandee do you think you can give me a step by step for the ungrouping and grouping of the picture I watched so many turtorials on the puzzle but yours is the only one that makes sense but I feel like I’m missing a step frustrating I’m not really a visual learner 😔🤷🏻♀️
@DesignsByMissM4 жыл бұрын
I'll do my best! What you need to do (after you import both the puzzle design and the image you want to use) is UNGROUP the puzzle design and place the image behind the puzzle design. Then, [with both the rectangle shape and the image selected] hit SLICE. Delete the extra pieces, leaving only the sliced image. Send the result to the back. Select all the puzzle lines as well as the image, and hit ATTACH.

Geesh! Print the image on label paper. Stick it to the board.Then just cut the puzzle template. You'r'e making the way to complicated. :)
@DesignsByMissM2 жыл бұрын
I've done it that way too. Unfortunately, the machine doesn't cut it out quite as nice, and the picture tends to get markings in it. But it is an option if you are looking for a quicker route!
