I have a jabuticaba tree in my garden. Just collected a bowl of fruit so will try out your recipe for jam. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! Jabuticaba makes excellent jelly, the jar in this video only lasted a few days before being eaten.

Why do you put first butter in the sandwich before spreading the Jaboticaba jelly?

Very interesting. Looks sort of like black cherry jelly. It jelled up quite nicely.

This fruit makes awesome jelly! No pectin is even needed. Just fruit, water, and sugar. The flavor is very close to a grape flavor...maybe a grape/cherry blend.

I've never seen fruit trees like that before. The shape of the fruit does resemble cherries or grapes.

@@joelp63 they have a slight ginger taste.. so im thinking maybe adding ginger to the recipe? I will try this recipe when the tree next fruits. (and the birds leave me some)

Hey have you tried making this with less sugar? It makes a lovely side with poultry and ham and lamb chops etc.

try adding a quartered apple when boiling the fruit for pectin. Or add some jam setter. Enjoy :)
