Pantera is better than Slayer for the same reason Deftones is better than Tool. Pantera has more musical range and each of their albums stands out from the others, where Slayer's been releasing the same record over and over again for decades now. Early Slayer is great though, their first 4-5 albums are the best thing to ever come from the thrash movement
