I think what I have learned the most after podcasting for over a year & creating content on youtube is recognizing that they ARE DIFFERENT. Podcasting requires a completely different skill set. You have to think of the audio listener's experience first. They will be expecting storytelling and a deeper connection with the host over time. What attracts people on youtube does not directly correlate to podcasting. Making that distinction will help you grow & develop a podcast worth listening to! Good content as always Think Media.

That is completely true I have been podcasting for 2 years and I like podcasting because i get to be deeper and it's kind of like a diary
@karatjuicepodcast2 жыл бұрын
@@theoutsiderjess1869 Absolutely! I agree, podcasting is a long term play and personally way more rewarding. My advice is use KZbin as a tool to show more people what your brand/podcast is about. However, the whole point of creating content is to connect with people. Positive Vibes to you

I have been podcasting for 2 years now, and I absolutely love it. I also have started making youtube videos a year ago and I love them both differently on a podcast I can go deeper about myself because I talk about all of the health problems I have experienced on my podcast so it's kinda like an audiobook or a diary and on my youtube channel I'm constantly learning and doing things I have always dreamed about doing.

My question is: I have a podcast with 20 episodes, but I haven't added to it in six months or so. Should I start a brand new podcast? Or add to this current one? Do podcasts go to the podcast graveyard if you haven't been consistent and then suddenly pick it back up?

For a new podcast show/series, what sorta time length would you all recommend? I am thinking of creating a podcast to coincide with my YT channel. As you can see from my username, I narrate spooky/creepy creepypasta stories. Many of these stories vary in length, so they can last anything from approximately 10 minutes to in excess of an hour. If I can find out an ideal time length, then I know what to work with

I feel targeting a selected demographic turns the task into a chore and ultimately you’ll run out of energy to do that. If you put your interest first, your passion, what interests you… You’ll find a cross demographic will find you (the algo is literally designed to do this) irrespective of age, sex etc and your energy will last ten times as long. It’ll also mean your fan base is way more loyal than a bunch of people who fitted a selected demographic. Interest first. Don’t target demographics. This is the new way.
