Yeah, that happened to me once. The customer actually saw a pattern on my Etsy store and ask if I could put it on a duvet. I sent to her the link to my RB store for a duvet. Although its against Etsy policy to do that but I didn't care because I don't like Etsy (another story). They ended up buying almost $500 worth of products with that pattern. I made over a $100 in royalties from that one order. Its a rare case but it does happen.

I feel ya on etsy. It's CHANGED big time! I have gone back and forth twice, and finally put my shop on vacation and deactivated every singe product while I transition out. The last 5 sales have all been fraudulent.. I sold product, shipped it out, and the customer said they didn't get it. I refunded them, losing product and $$. Etsy did not compensate me for it. Etsy promotes porn, and all kinds of unethical to boost traffic to their site. Bummer!

@@maakkz mainly I rather use my time to create good quality designs than constantly answer customer questions. Etsy customers talk a lot. Its a shame because my shop was doing really well. Also, didn't like how the fulfillment companies handle shipping or mistakes on their end.

Yes this is so true! I love patterns my first few sales were patterns and even though I get way more shirt and sticker sales it's the patterns that give me the higher commissions per sale

I definitely think it's a great idea to make designs that could work for a club. I had a customer buy 7 tote bags and the next day I sold 5 tote bags with the same design. I theorised they would be gifted to members of a club/group.

I just found your channel. It is nice to hear that you are self taught, because I am really trying to get into this. I am so happy I found your channel. Maybe, I will learn some new things from watching your videos. I have just 2 other guys I watch, who are very helpful, also. It is overwhelming, just trying to learn some of the different design programs. I don't have the money, YET, to buy anything, but I have Canva, and I just downloaded a program to my iPad, that is a better design program. Thanks for the ideas, for a beginner. ❤️🤗❤️

Hey Lisa... that is sooo Awesome!! This week I made my first ever sale on a throw blanket & it was a pattern. (Haven't been uploading so I was really shocked). Great tip on being specific with tags on patterns. This made me feel inspired for when I get back to designing in January. 🙌🏾💛

I hear ya. One good thing about them is that they are always adding products. And they have so many more products available than when I first started … so hopefully they will add more home goods.

Hey girl!! I love patterns too! Thanks for sharing this though! I'm doing some creative stuff on RB, and working "secret test accounts" I love your business mindset, and your ability to work these sites. I've always liked RB. I miss the community, and all the contests they used to do. The last two years and world events have really taken a toll on my creative flow girl. Wow! Anyway.. You're looking so fresh and vibrant! 🤗

Thank you Lisa for this great and valuable video! I missed you and wondered what happened to you? I don't know if you ever attempted this but what about making one object (or a couple) and load it onto Redbubble and tiling it on the templates? I hope you make another video again. Thanks again!!

Lisa, I’ve followed you for a while, 2 create a website. I noticed you have evolved into other business extensions. How is everything and Happy New Year 2022! I’m looking to extend my brand into other areas as well. Working with clients is ok but applying internet marketing with self projects can be the same amount of revenue gained and more if persistent.

Does three to five words count as too long for tags? My tags are relevant but because of the niche I'm in I often use long tail keywords as tags

Thanks Boss. After testing with random niches and you open a second niche shop, is it okay to also upload the few designs that sold in the new Shop as you design more for that the new niche? Will you be penalised for uploading your own designs into a new shop?
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
It's probably fine, but I wouldn't recommend it. I remember someone saying they believe their TeePublic account got removed for uploading multiple designs from the same account. I realize that's a different site, but they are owned by the same company. So be careful.

I actually use the same niches I sell shirts in. So if you sell a lot of knitting shirts, make a pattern with knitting tools.

Not on RedBubble. RedBubble does the paid advertising for you through Google Ads. But my shop is 4+ years old with lots of sales so that always helps with rankings.

@Tomato Anywhere between 300 and $1000 on my best niche account but this test account doesn’t earn as regularly. It usually sells stickers mostly. Like I said it’s a test account to find niches and has only had maybe 200 sales in 2 years. I hardly upload to this one much. My biggest niche account gets sales daily (uploaded 400 designs in 4 years). Not this one though. Don’t get caught up on the numbers though because it varies greatly person to person. That’s why I don’t typically reveal how many designs I have uploaded and earnings because most of your money usually comes from the same designs. People always want to estimate what to expect based off my numbers and you can’t. I know someone with 1500 designs and makes hardly nothing. It’s all in the niche, timing and designs. Another lady I know has 100 designs and makes $250 per month but from one design. I had a $950 month from one account in July and 80% of sales came from one design that I’m assuming Redbubble promoted in their emails. The stats are always sooooo different due to timing, niche, design, etc. But I believe you should make niche accounts where all designs target a single audience. Most people don’t do that. I make the most from those accounts.
