Christie, I bought a ‘distressing’ tool just like yours (but metal) about 30 years ago. It was sold as a floss cutter for x-stitching, so that you didn’t need to have scissors ( useful on planes). Now, I’ve a whole new use for it! Thank you for the tip. Happy crafting, Carol😊

Such a pretty shimmery finish to the flowers painting with the Luscious Powders and the watermarked stamps look lovely in the background Chrissie, and the edge with the wax with added Luscious powder finishes and frames it beautifully. I love the look of the horizontal border added in the background on the original card too, embossing with that super die. x

I take the time to "paint" the back of my bare red rubber stamps with Alene's tack it over and over. Once dry, I store on clear transparency sort of sheets cut to fit my stamp storage pockets. It lasts a couple 3 years, and cleans off easily so I can redo as necessary. Enjoyed this - TFS!

Two things - I like the idea that you can find uses for sentiments you'd otherwise never use. In sets I've had sentiments for emotions I just don't experience or feel far too American. I also wish you luck with your tie up with Indigo Blu. I came across them through your channel!

I have a couple of Versamark Dazzle inkpads in Champagne Frost that add subtle gold and white, respectively, with the ink. I only use it to just stamp the image. Most embossing powders seem to obscure the effect of the gold and frost but it's lovely on the background.

@@Chrissieannie great news! The hand cream + glue + mica powder works as a DIY gilding wax. I added two very small (craft spoon) spoonfuls of baby powder to give it more body. This mixture also works as a texture paste.

Something else you can use to “distress” the edges of your cardstock is a knife sharpener with crossed blades embedded in a square of plastic. (mine is red w/ ribbing for better grip)

Hey there Christine! Have you ever tried adding some Gum Arabic to your powders? (Hope I spelled that correctly :)) It actually helps it to stick to what you are painting in on. I just mix it into my dry powder - then add the liquid and off we go - it sticks :) enjoy. Thanks, as always, for the fun video. Hugs from the USA.

yes, versamark is a watermark pad. Tried the glue and hand cream doesnt really work as a wax.
