Thank you for your effective tutorials! Another recording option you have for IOS is plugging in your IPhone (not sure about android) to your MAC using a lightning for phone and C Cable for a Macbook using Quicktime and using your IPHONE;s screen and VOLT as a microphone . You can record anything on your iphone's screen but using the Volt with any dynamic or condenser mic. Works pretty good and you do not need the extra power for the iphone as you are essentially using the MACBOOK's power.

Might get a Volt to use exclusively with my iPad. Handy having MIDI i/o a well so I can play iOS synths from my DAW as well as getting good quality audio i/o. Actually, would be good to see a demo of the MIDI i/o with Volt and iPad. Nobody seems to bother with the MIDI part of any demos I've found. I'd like to see how it works with iPad Apps for receiving MIDI from the Volt's MIDI input. And also sending MIDI from Apps, such as Liine Lemur for example.

And if you have an iPhone and want to record in the field, how do you connect the volt to the current? With the USB-C to Lightning cable, I wouldn't need that adapter, right? Hello. I have a volt 476p and I would like to work live with it. I work with a Yamaha mixer where I connect a keyboard, a trumpet microphone and two vocal microphones, in addition to a backing track. I would like to know if I can work with the sound card connected to the microphones and the mixer? Without it being necessary to connect it to the computer or a music program.

Sorry, Volt is not tested or supported with Android devices. However, that does not mean it will not work. We just can't offer any help or support for it.

Hi- thx for the overview! One question please: can the Sphere DLX/LX microphone also be operated with good or full functionality on the iPad Pro M2 with the Volt interfaces? Especially with latency-free monitoring/recording of all mic emulations? By the way, Apple has announced that Logic Pro will now also be available for the iPad OS! This could be a great thing for a quick and uncomplicated songwriting workflow!😊 . Apollo interfaces are apparently not yet usable via the iPad OS, are they (Duo, X4)? or is that already possible, possibly in a roundabout way? Thanks for your answers! BG, Berry

The Sphere plug-ins are only available for Mac and Windows, not iOS/iPadOS, so you won't be able to use Sphere's modeling features with an iPad. Similarly, all Apollo interfaces require Mac or Windows and are not currently compatible with iOS/iPadOS.

I am looking for a solution to record quick ideas/loops with vocals/guitars on ipad pro M2. What Mic would make sense with the Volt then? How would you emulate guitar sounds then? Through a third party Plugin or UAD plugins? Which UAD guitar plugins work for IPad OS/Volt, ist this marked somewhere in the Webshop? Thing is next to busy day to day live workflow needs to be inviting and efficient for the time/energy left at the end of the day. @@berry5959 When using Sphere with a Volt, you'll run the native version of the plugin in your DAW. So you'll be subject to the latency of the buffer settings. If you need the absolute lowest latency, we recommend getting an Apollo. Sames goes for guitar and all other plugins. You'll use the native versions inside the DAW. Volt comes with a great guitar amp sim, so you'll be covered there.

If you’re here looking to connect an iPhone 14 or older: you have to have a lightning to “camera” adapter, which no one will say for some reason. Sanjay doesn’t even hit it in this video. You’re welcome

Bought this thinking I can use my UAD plugins on the go when I’m not plugged into my 6xp…. Well boo hoo for me, it does not run my uad plugs and the hassle of finding a way to run them on the go is not worth me investing in anymore. Love the plugs I have and use them everyday in my studio, but I won’t buy more bc I can’t use them on the go and it’s not worth it to buy another $600 interface or satellite I don’t need just to use them.
