Praying they change the economy. I’ve been hoarding collectors reserves for weeks. 50 tokens is a slap in the face, and it simply makes sense to have Gold be in the reward pool. They need to drop Darkhawk and Knull too. They’re only holding them bc they’re good

The collectors reserves are the main gripe in currently have. Good points on the conquest tickets: we shouldn’t be forcing all players into the competitive mode

I get SD's thinking for the economy, but it sucks so hard that now it a) feels terrible to open collector's reserves because they have nothing of value and b) that they got it so wrong in the first place and it was so generous anything after it is going to feel awful. What I liked about Snap was that F2P felt viable. There were no cooldown timers like a lot of F2P games, if you were patient you could get cards and the currency for cards and the frivolous stuff like titles and avatars felt like filler rather than a slap in the face. I know a lot of content creators and the devs are adamant that people get more cards now than ever before and I can't dispute that. It's just that opening anything is pointless and token buys are all but impossible if you don't spend/can't justify spending real money on Gold and token bundles. And yeah, gold tickets are absolutely worthless to me. Brode said Conquest should be seen as deck testing grounds to a lot of people but they take so long to play through.

@@WolverSnap I know nothing of the economy of f2p games or even video games in general, just my gut says their projections and forecasts from when the game was really generous with currency meant they needed to pivot and hard. The removal of gold completely and the reduction to 100 tokens max tells you that. They may have gone too hard the other way. But people like me are never going to be the target of bundles and what have you. I think enough people will buy the gold for Token Tuesdays and outright for the cosmetic/currency bundles now they're much rarer on the tracks. I also ought to say I don't think they're being greedy. They're a business, and they have pay masters who want to make money. It's just how it is.

I totally agree, and I hope gold is back to the caches cause to be honest I don't play gold conquest much and if I do it's to buy some extra credits I'd rather buy variants or variants bundles with gold than get forced to get extra boosters sometimes for cards that don't see play anymore

A lot of people don't get that much gold" Forgive me for banging on this drum again (i've posted this in a lot of places, quite possibly one of your other videos haha) but the removal of gold from the collection track, while not nothing, removed 22% accessible gold from f2p players, and 0% from "Minnows" (Season Pass Holders +). in the old system f2p players got on average 2700g per season (4 week season) and now they get 2100g per season (or 77.77...% or roughly a 22% decrease). Meanwhile the 600g that is no longer in the f2p pool, is still available to Season Pass Holders in the form of the Gold Weekend Mission (150g for 15 wins with Season Pass Card per week for 4 weeks is 600g). I think the economy in Snap is actually the best its been, but unfortunately the lack of "Wow" in the collection track means people are feeling less good about it. the only "change" that needs to happen is like you said, when we hit a full S4/5 Pool of cards Series drops need to happen again, like you said 4 in 4 out (or something averaging that). Would more gold feel better? sure, I'd love to just have all the cards and everything to be free all the time, but like you said, we also want the game to succeed and continue which means they need to make money and they are working at finding the exact balance between making the majority of the player base feel like things are good while still making enough money for it to not only be profitable but thriving (the unfortunate nature of the tech industry in particular is that they don't want to fund things that are merely profitable, they expect constant growth... its a terrible metric and one that comes only in late stage capitalism which is another conversation entirely, but thats whats happening now...)

Opening caches feel like absolute crap. Hell those Avatars and Titles are so sad, and now we get them frequently. We even get a lower amount of Credits than we used to.

This game's monetization strategy is going to kill the game. As a f2p player I feel disrespected and neglected every patch. If the difference between a f2p player and a whale is going to be this massive then they can have their whales and just like so many others I will also stop playing. Plus the game's core mechanic was overrated anyways. All card games suck if you're not constantly getting new cards. They need to add a card shop where I can buy the cards I want with credits and the highest price of a card can only be 1000 credits and new cards can only be bought for real money or 5000 credits. Price goes down to 1000 after a month. Unique collection argument is trash as that situation adds more frustration than fun. This game was always and still is overrated.
