Make Sure you Check These Issues Before Buying a Used Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon

Can't reinforce enough your suggestion to check the heating situation on your used Colorado/Canyon. I purchased a 15' SLT (same trim level as the Denali since it wasn't around in that year) and the blend door is defective. Prior owner had it repaired under warranty and repaired is a generous term. The remedy was for the dealer to affix a worm clamp to keep it from cracking further and now it has failed again leaving me on the hook for a $790 fix. I either have 90 degree heat or it blows cold air. GM is aware of the issue and even went as far as to issue a recall on it. They are completely inept and unwilling to work with me, so for anyone buying one keep an eye out for this issue. Exercise the thermostat starting at 90 degrees and lower by one degree to make sure it still blows hot, albeit cooler air.
