As others have mentioned earlier, thank you for not editing out of the video the errors in cutting. It's important that new quilters and old quilters (more experienced) see that other experienced quilters can make mistakes. It reflects your authenticity and humility. Thanks again for sharing your tutorials. They are highlights to every week.

I was lucky enough to discover missouri star before the hype. I traveled three hours to see & shop. It was only Jenny & her husband in the shop. Jenny took me to a back room to pick backing fabric that wasn't displayed yet while her husband chatted with my husband and my dad who had tagged along. It was a great time. That was the backing for my first full quilt. 😁😁😁

Jenny has inspired me for years! I used to watch my 4 year old granddaughter and we would watch Jenny before bed. She knows all of the verbiage, 1/4” seams blocks press to the dark side. Now she asks me if we can watch Jenny, Misty, and Natalie. I hope we have another quilter on our hands. Thank you for all that you do!

Thank you for showing your Oops moments. As I was sitting here watching you, I stitched the back of the quilt I am making on backwards. So I ripped while you sewed.

Just got back from a 3 hour round trip to my longarmer, with the quilt top I wanted to get quilted, some goof (me) had a block around the wrong way. Oh well, better to find out before it's quilted!

Jenny Doan has been my gateway drug to quilting. My 7 year old daughter/quilt fairy has dubbed her the “Quilt Lady”. So … Jenny holds a special place in our house. I learned to sew from my grandma who was a seamstress. I think … no I know that I get my quilting sense from watching Jenny because she reminds me of my grandma’s advice plus she has the patience of a saint.

This pattern is already in my basket and I think I need to go back and add the low volume layer cake. I’ve been trying to make sure I purchase more of these low volume fabrics as I tend to lean towards the brighter ones and my favorite reproduction fabrics. Thanks for another super video. I look forward to,all !SQC videos each week. I even take screen shots in my iPad so I can go back and refresh my brain!!!!!

I am sure there are a lot of stories out there like that. Yours was the first KZbin video that I watched. My friend quilted and I had made one and got stuck in a 2nd one. My friend told me how to find you on KZbin and that was it. In fact a few years ago on the way back from New Jersey, my husband and I altered our route home to Texas to come to Missouri Star and had a wonderful day in Hamilton. You and your family have taught many of us. I learned to sew clothes as a child growing up, but did not have any quilters in my family so I learned from you and others on KZbin. I also went to one of your trunk shows in Waco prior to the pandemic which was great. Many thanks to you and your team.

Thank you for sharing the person's story who wrote this pattern. I wanted to let you know, Jenny, that you have touched so many lives. I've also learned to quilt from you. It's very meaningful to have these videos for people like me who don't have a healthy matriarch to learn from. I'd love to have a mother or grandmother like you who could teach me things. This kind of access really fills a void for a lot of folks like me. ❤

Sorry, dont know term low volume.
@jennydoan572 жыл бұрын
Low volume fabric is a fabric that works as a background and we have used lots of different whites and beiges.
@redhen6892 жыл бұрын
Low volume fabrics are white or cream fabrics with subtle prints which, from a distance, are not obvious and will fade into the background.
