Good morning David. This is an awesome cocktail. I've stumbled upon it about a year ago and you're right there is a lot of natural sugars in this one and it will sneak up on you. My ex wife, had 3 and she wound up on the floor.. hence the name " After work special " after 2 or 3 of these and you'll forget about the lousy day you had at work! 😅.. checking in on the road from Ft. Riley/ Junction City Kansas. Have a great great day

David, it looks great! I’ll have to give it a try. Maybe bump up all the booze to 1 ounce instead of 3/4 ounce. Cheers from Cleveland Ohio 🥃

HI David, you could definitely do that for sure and it will still be great.
@christinecamley10 ай бұрын
Is this super sweet? Can't do sweet and I might need to change the rum! Can't do the Malibu ever - too sweet. I am not a rum fan for the most part but I do occasionally have a rum I don't mind - often they are just too sweet for me. I am a bitter and dry person for cocktails for the most part. I'm usually not a fan of cocktails with OJ - but this is worth a try! I always give new ideas a try! I have a few ideas in mind for alternatives! I might try this without the OJ! Might be interesting! Might not be balanced! I will see! Thanks for the awesome (always!!) video David!! Have a great day! Cheers! 🙂

What can I use to substitute for the amaretto ???
@boozeontherocks5 ай бұрын
Good Questions. You could use an almond syrup mixed with vodka, in a 50/50 split.

David I use the same squeezer it looks like you're using here. I do something that I'd like your opinion on. On larger citrus pieces I'll slice a piece off the back of the half before putting it in the squeezer. It seems to fit in the squeezer better. Do you ever do this?
@boozeontherocks10 ай бұрын
I do on some occasion and that can make it squeeze easier. But sometimes I don't it depends. On occasion I will even cut the fruit into smaller pieces.

What measurements would you use to make a pitcher?
@boozeontherocks13 күн бұрын
Hello, That is a good question. The answer will depend on the size of your pitcher or how many you wish to make. For example if you wish to make 10. multiply all of the ingredients by 10. and then add .5 oz/15 ml x 10 of water for every cockail. You are add in the water becuase you will not be shaking these so it creates the correct amount of dilution.
@clairesheridan598413 күн бұрын
@boozeontherocks Thank you! Would this be the same for any pitcher?

Sooo I’ll get around to trying this as presented, but I cannot help to think about an acid adjusted orange juice to balance the sweetness. I know, not the point of this drink, but aren’t we all chasing the next better thing? LoL
@boozeontherocks10 ай бұрын
That would be an interesting idea. That would cut some sweetness.

Looks good. I just don’t like the amaretto.
