I use whopper Plopped 90s, 110s, and 130s. I landed a 35 pound 50.5" musky on a 130 I repainted in a perch pattern I spray. I caught more than 50 bass on a 110 I painted in a leopard frog pattern. We also caught pike on the 90s and 110s. Your advice for hook size is spot on but......a red hook on the middle hook screw eye with a split ring of course is a key modification. Nearly every fish we caught on these baits no matter the site has are attacked on that middle hook including my huge musky on a 130. Keep the great videos rolling.

That's the second time I've heard to replace the belly hook with a red one. I'll try it. I just put my order in. Great comment!

I never had a issue with the hooks but I have a heavy action rod for my plopper so I can really hook that fish

Just found your channel. I really like how you “share” your passion for fishing. I too change out all my plopper hooks and I usually use a red one on the front hook. Does it help? Who knows but I do get bit a lot. Thanks for the tip regarding the swivel. Working on my ploppers right now. Good luck with the channel. 😮

Thanks for the comment! As a matter of fact , you and another subscriber recommended the red hook in the belly, so I’ve started doing the red hook now. Hey whether it makes a difference or not, it’s all about building confidence that’s important.
