Loving the moment with Dalton at the end. Reminds me so much of my older son at that age. I stayed home with my 2 sons, and we "gave up" stuff for me to do it, but they are now 20/24 and they tell everyone that will listen that it made all the difference for them in so many ways. Thanks again and as always - I learn from and enjoy your generosity. Have a safe and warm trip, Dalton! And, of course, you too. 🙂

You're the reason I took the leap and started my store and you'll never know how much you have done for me! I honestly don't think I would have ever taken that step if it weren't for you and how many times I heard you say that I can do it, just start, and how much you have said to help me learn. I know I'm not the only person whose life has changed because of you! I started on Monday and I have 21 listings right now and almost all have bids, done beyond what I ever imagined! Thank you Kat. All high end products can be redone by the proper people, in many cases depending where you live the brand itself. The Gucci shoes 👞once redone and looking brand new again could sell in the 4 figure range if the bottom soles also where done. Again it really depends on the luxury brand as some do have lifetime guarantees to fix and repair as long as they are authentic pieces and not knock offs. Just an FYI from someone who owns a lot of very expensive high end luxury brands in many categories. Have a great day. 👍

Gucci logo men's neckties. Just sold two. Paid 1.49 at Goodwill. One sold for 26.50 the second sold for 27.00. And you can bubble wrap and bubble envelope them for shipping, Also Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh neckties, all 100% silk and I sell tons of those. Frye men's leather cowboy boots, bought for 9.99 sold for 79.99. Allen Edmonds men's shoes go high. That vase, there are a glut of those out there. You were lucky to get what you did! The Murano vase got the high price due to the latticinio panels in it. (Brass threads braided.) On the Chinese hair comb, the Chinese are getting much wealthier and buying back their history, hot market.

I don’t shop auctions and I don’t sell auctions however I don’t sell collectibles like you do. I think it works depending on what you’re selling. I work a part time job (2 times a month) so that I can keep my discount at this high end clothing store. I get a huge discount and I buy hundreds of pieces of clearance averaging $20 per item. I only do that because I can buy 20 at one time list it and keep it moving. I do like the idea of fun stuff like you have though. I’m sick of cheap little offerers wanting everything for free

Hi Kate I can't believe I just found your KZbin videos they are fantastic for us beginners and newbies you share so much information I've learned so much just by watching you but my real job is as a corporate recruiter in healthcare and I have a question for you nurses right now are in high demand they make great money why be a reseller
@TheNurseFlipper2 жыл бұрын
Because I love being a reseller and they are taxing the nurses and over working them which is why they're in high demand. More work no extra pay and under staffed it's a vicious circle. Treat nurses bad then have to highly incentivize them to work extra. I went part time vs working more. I want to be home with my son and I want to enjoy what I'm doing. Working 12-13 hours alot of times with no break isn't my idea of fun no matter how much I make (which I make more reselling now than nursing anyways)

Do you have a way to know which category sells the best? Is there a book or other method to tell which categories are hot? I have been trying to sell clothes and I can't seem to sell anything! Not even when using "sold" comps. I have access to a lot of inventory, but I just don't know which way to go. I have been thinking that maybe I should just try a few in each category and see what sells best, but I don't want to waste time and resources if there is some guidance for what sells best. It seems that all categories work well for you. Do you have any suggestions? I work for a charity and we are trying to raise funds for some of our programs. I seem to be lost without a compass.

It's not hard nescessarily but it is a LOT of work and learning to educate yourself on what sells etc

love your videos!! I've been binge watching lately and was wondering if there was more info on your "source for you on hibid" on your lives, do you do those often? and where would I become a member to be apart of that? Thanks in advance if you respond : )

I do live sourcing every other Saturday. There is a join button below each video (sometimes not visible on phone you have to go to computer) it is the 9.99 level :-) It will allow you to see past streams from the past year once you join as well which is super educational!

Hibid is the main one I use and I get over 90% of my stuff there. I have this video explaining how it works if you'd like to learn more >> kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipawoKmVq9yEZs0&t=2s

Hi Kat! Thanks for another Top Knotch Video I really appreciate it. I have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind? A close friends Teenage Son has ADHD and is on Autism Spectrum but he watches many of your and other Ebay Resellers Videos. He is a collector of Anime, Video Games, LOVES Vintage pre-1960's stuff and is an amazing teen and human being. He does have social anxiety and says he could never show his face on KZbin like all of you do for videos. He asked me if there was a way to do Ebay Reseller Videos on his sourced items but not have to show his face due to his Autism and his other health issues that cause him to have a few ticks. Any advice you can give would be most appreciated. He's an amazing kid and so intelligent and I've been his biggest fan since he was born. I just want for him everything that he can dream of for his life. Appreciate any advice you can give me to talk to him and his mom about his wanting to start his own channel possibly.

Yeah there are quite a few people that never show there face, if he has good content people like they will still watch! I do think it will be a little harder because it's harder for people to personally connect if they don't see you, but it definitely can be done!

I am a high end watchmaker with more than 30 years at the bench. I have had more "Very well off" people bring me fake Rolex's than anyone else. I always turn those jobs down.

Good to know. I actually watched a ton of rolex videos and found the couple of rolexes I found one was fake one was real (but not worth anything LOL)

Just found you. I do hibid auctions as well but I am only seeing hardware items (in TX). Is the hibid you bought local and how to I find them and do I have to pay shipping? Thank you!
@TheNurseFlipper2 жыл бұрын
I use tons of different hibid auctions if you're only seeing hardware widen your search. I source for people in TX regularly and we find tons of cool stuff.

BTW - I bought fake Louis Vuitton at a very wealthy estate sale, before I knew that they were criminal to resell. LV is one brand that even wealthy people buy fake. Apparently high quality fakes of LV are also very expensive themselves! : ) Who knew!

Wow!! I'm lucky if can get that in an year myself. I would be happy if I could get myself to $3000 a month ... but so far this month my gross sales is about $400 a month ... I need to find some bigger rarer items. Now that I have a bit extra in funds I may be able find some stuff. I find a lot of the thrift stores around here seem to me wanting too much for their stuff lately. I'm going to keep looking though,
@TheNurseFlipper Жыл бұрын
If you're not finding it at the thrift stores, change how you source like estate sales, garage sales, online auctions etc

@@TheNurseFlipper I never see any of those around except the odd flea markets. Yard Sale season here ends pretty much when the summer ends. It just gets too cold and wet to do them now. I also never see any estate sales around. I am going to be buying stuff from friends in time though as the funds become more available. I havea friend coming on the weekend with some stuff he wants to sell and another friend is going to giving me a bunch of stuff that's just clutter to him .... but it's stuff i can sell though Some of my limitations are having access to only bus most of time unless friends want to drive me around, and being just one person to do everything. I follow a lot of posts though from you and a few other thriftier that sell online too and have been learning a lot just wish I knew more about clothing ... something I know nothing about. I don't think there's any decent prices on brans names around here very often anyways though.

@@Aaramlias I don't do a ton of clothes but there are a lot of videos about top clothing brands
@Aaramlias Жыл бұрын
@@TheNurseFlipper I'm kind of clueless on them ..... I might be willing to dabble with some things though. One thing that I do find really cheap though here is kids clothes. You can usually find them for under $10 CND ... many times less then $5 CND and sometimes they are new for that price. For adult clothes many times it's cheaper to buy them new then from thrift stores. Everything thing else can vary,

@@TheNurseFlipper Identifying jewelry is something else i'm not knowledgeable about too or it's metals. I've missed out on deals all the time like one time working in a thrift store and one of the store supervisors seeing a a pair of shoes one time for $30 new when she knew they were worth about $200 CND or more and a Michael Kor's purse for $20 CND when it was worth 100s; My knowledge is pretty vast when it comes to videogames, movies, 80s to 90s comics, toys, board games and stuff like that though, but i'm always learning and expanding my knowledge pretty much every daily because the value of stuff keeps changing. I never see much in the way of rare movies, toys and videogames around anymore though because it seems like everyone out there is looking for them and certain other good deals.
