Make Yam Milk Tea At Home

Yam Milk Tea (厚芋泥奶茶) is one of my favourite winter season bubble tea offerings in Shanghai! It's essentially milk tea with a dollop of thick yam paste - think of it like having Orh Nee with milk tea! Sometimes, they even come with yam pearls (芋圆), but I prefer them without as it's a bit too much starch for afternoon tea.
Xiyu loves the combination of yam paste and milk tea as well. When we're out, I get her the Yam Fresh Milk option without tea. At home, however, she gets to enjoy the milk tea version since I'm using Marks & Spencer's Decaf Tea.
