Depends on the person, reluctantly some do. If you're doing commercial part 107 work work for clients and flying through businesses or around job sites for instance you need it or your insurance company won't insure you. It's just part of business. But, point taken! 🤙🤙

I just want to know how to disable the RID on a Mini 4 Pro.
@AlienDrones11 күн бұрын
Fly with the regular batteries (not the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus) and the remote ID broadcast is automatically disabled... 🤙🤙

The lighter weight and default anti Karen mode are wins for me. Looking at the DJI mini 2 SE after watching your review and hubby found a fly more kit on sale at Sam’s Club. The Neo and Mavick 3 got my attention as well. Wanted something small, thanks!

Does pinning your business card to a tree remote from where you are flying work?

Cool! All the RID modules I've tested have a DOC from the FAA so they're good to go! 🤙

You still have the right to your privacy you have to break a law before you show ID but this is saying show ID before not to mention there's a lot of flaws with remote ID this is fundamentally screwed up I don't agree with I'm all for following the law but I don't I think it's always a good idea to follow rules

I don’t think people understand how to see the remote ID on a specific application.

The FAA RID regulation for In-flight loss of remote identification broadcast: The person manipulating the flight controls of the unmanned aircraft system must land the unmanned aircraft as soon as practicable if the unmanned aircraft is no longer broadcasting the message elements of § 89.315. How does a pilot know if a RID module in flight has is no longer broadcasting? And is not receiving a signal the same as not broadcasting? While in the real world, if a pilot is confronted by an official and the aircraft has a RID module on it and the module is on, the light is flashing and even if the module is off, but can be turned on for even a moment, all RID issues would be dismissed. The pilot would be in compliance with the RID regulation. I would even expect, if the module was not present and the pilot stated that it had been on the aircraft at take off, that the RID module is listed on the registration, again all RID issues would be dismissed. If you are the kind of pilot that is trying to comply with regulations, there is little to fear, as the punishment is most likely a stern lecture. On the other hand, if you intentionally demonstrate no regard for the regulations you will find yourself poorer.

Good thing there is not an in-flight loss of the broadcast then so we don't have to read past the first sentence! 😂😂
