Been trying to figure out what audio sounds best for iPhones thank you 😊

Lots of good options out there, really just depends on what you’re doing and your budget.

@@iphoneographers right now I'm using the comica VDlive10 and I question the reliability and the sound sometimes but its great for the most part

Blake, with this particular mic and the iPhone 15 pro, I found it recorded audio quite low level, even if you try and boost it in the Black Magic app. There’s also a slight hiss. Maybe it’s a rogue version of the mic I have. But I was thinking maybe this mic isn’t really designed for the iPhone 15 Pro, despite it being USB-C and perhaps that’s why the sound quality isn’t quite pristine. Judging by your video though you were fairly impressed?

Great video! Do you know if it will work with the Insta 360 Ace Pro and if not any recommendations? Thanks!

Don’t have that camera so can’t really be of much help, but if it’s USB-C then it’s possible.

Does it work with action cameras like dji osmo action 5 pro?
@iphoneographers9 күн бұрын
Haven’t used that camera but if it has USB-C then yeah it should work.

@iphoneographers i have ordered it.. Hope it does work.

Hi I have an older iPhone a 7 plus - what mic would be recommend? And will I need adaptor cables. Thanks
@iphoneographers4 ай бұрын
You need a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter and then any TRRS mic will work. www.amazon.com/dp/B09L951YB4/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_92EF7YX37JCJ51W04SFZ?linkCode=ml2&tag=iphoneographe-20 www.amazon.com/dp/B01AG56HYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_PWCA3JMDW03CPPCEVS25?linkCode=ml2&tag=iphoneographe-20

I’m still struggling to find a easy and proper solution to connect, at the same time, a mic and an external SSD so I can use my iPhone 15 pro max, properly. And, honestly, I don’t understand why big companies are not giving a solution to it. I would buy it immediately and I’m sure there are many like me.

I use a USB hub, but it is still kind of a Frankenstein setup. Kondor Blue has some interesting stuff and Tilta does too. I don’t have that new gear yet but once I do I’ll make a video. But here’s one I did… kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXuxpadpYqtnmNksi=KBiz28mRT2gX7E9S

I’m about to use the same thing like this but with wire I’m not that comfortable. I decide to use DJI Mic 2 bluetooth only, sound quality not that great on iPhone but you can record standalone sound directly with the mic, so can sync the sound in post.
@iphoneographers6 ай бұрын
Yeah I often record double system sound and just sync it in post when using wireless so that’s always a good option too.

I know BMD is dominating the app market ATM, but I'd love to see how it compares with apps like moment pro camera app for example, since it can be used for videos and photos. Would love a video exploring those apps and their differences.
@iphoneographers6 ай бұрын
I’ve done several of those in the past comparing other apps, but not directly to BMD since it’s on the newer side. But will definitely take that into consideration. :)

Do you use the moment app? What do you think of their moment log ? ESP for older users I have a 12 pro max 😮
@iphoneographers5 ай бұрын
I have used it, but I don’t use it a lot now, though it’s totally fine. But understand it’s actually not a true logarithmic curve. However, it can give you a more flat, low contrast look that you can color grade later. But you’re not getting improved dynamic range using it. I always got better results using Filmic Pro.
@LouisLuzuka5 ай бұрын
@@iphoneographers oooo I forgot about filmic pro I’ve been using moment because it’s easy for me to use my anamorphic lens, I’m gonna try filmic pro now thank you!
@LouisLuzuka5 ай бұрын
@@iphoneographers is it too late to get the 15 pro? Or should I just wait for the 16 pro? The reason why is because I wanna try filming in log this summer, I have a trip to Atlanta it would be nice to get the small rig cage and use my moment lens of course on the 1x camera It’s not as simple as just wait another 2 months because once the 16 pro is out I’d have to wait another 3-4 months for the beast grip cage or small rig to get their cage out so it’s more like a rough estimate of 5 months I’m guessing the cage won’t come out right away and we don’t know if it’s even compatible with those lenses but I could be filming and getting experience with what I have, or just continue to use my moment lenses on my 12 pro max which I can still use on my smooth 5s gimbal but I don’t know if it would be compatible with the new phone because of the weight limitations what do you think? Thanks in advance you always give me honest advice, that’s why I upgraded from my iPhone SE 2020 to my 12 pro max, and it definitely was a huge jump, but sadly I have only 128GB and it gets filled up so fast 😭🙌

For an actioin 4, if adappter is not an issue, what lav mic would you recommend for cycliing videos in city. Looking for clear vooise and some background nooise.
@iphoneographers4 ай бұрын
Might be best to go with a wireless mic for that. Maybe the RODE Wireless Pro or DJI mics. And in a perfect world you’d really want a more directional lav mic versus an omnidirectional which most are, but they should work fine.
@LouisLuzuka5 ай бұрын
How do you lower the gain 😮
@iphoneographers5 ай бұрын
Using any app that allows for manual audio control. You can’t currently do it in the native camera.

Hi. I just got one of these. And I can’t figure out why the input volume is so low when plugged into my phone. I have to crank audio 300% in I movie to get it to a good volume. Any advice would be great. Thanks
