I'm starting la tarantella from book 3. I'm working mainly in pastels, plan to have the triangle E (same as la pass) shape white, very pale grey or very pale lilac. Can you suggest a way of getting contract with predominantly light colours without adding bold colours.

How important is cutting pieces on grain when you want to fussy cut fabrics to a certain design?

I don’t worry about cutting on grain mainly because the pieces are generally so small. If you are getting into larger pieces it could become more of a factor. At that point leaving your papers in to keep everything stabilized is advised. hope this is helpful.
