LOL...I think you and I are sisters from different mothers...I thought of making my own beads after seeing an artist friend make awesome bowls out of paper clay and was doing my own jewelry making and got bored with the expensive store bought but ordinary beads. I did not go looking for any handmade beads until I had the beads made (using an ice pick), dried, and ready to paint. Love yours! Thanks for confirming my idea to me!

thebookladyjane I made a pile of beads but now I’m mid-embellishment = painting, embossing, etc and want to seal with triple thick sealer. For some reason I don’t feel that my pieces are finished without sealing them even if they say they are not required. I am also a mixed media artist and published author. I would love to share my beads with you. God bless!

How do you let them dry? On the skewer or on a piece of paper or something? I'm interested in making beads with clay just don't want them to stick to what its drying on. Thank you for the video!

Hi Ellen, I just let them dry on the skewer, and they usually come off fine once they've dried. Hope that helps, and thanks so much for watching. Much love Jane :) xxx

Yes I have that brand clay, I haven't used too much water and the clay is powdery and brittle but thx too. the stamps are your collection, I don't think they sell those anymore and I'll check the store anyway. there is a strong aroma in this clay though that's why I thought it maybe toxic or non toxic chemicals I'll look next time I buy clay for that matter.

Where can I get the molds? is the air dry clay brand in the video safe for pregnant women to use with its particular ingredients and strong smell?

@thebookladyjane 8 жыл бұрын
+Katherine Reyna Hi Katherine, for the molds, I just use my old silicone stamps. Unfortunately they are so old that I can't remember the brand name of them. As for more detail on the clay, all I can tell you is the brand name is DAS. I did try to google the brand for more info regarding your question, but didn't have any success. I don't think it has a particularly strong smell, but you may feel differently. You can pick the clay up at many art stores, so may be they will be able to answer your question. Sorry I could not help further, but thank you very much for taking the time to watch my video. Much love Jane :) xxx
