@TheMuslimEmpire Power output has almost doubled. Weight stays the same. That would make it one of the fastest Cuores in the country, and slower than your XR6T. Performance is a relative term when factored into comparison with baseline power figures. A car that can light up third gear that costs under $3000 should be considered fast for the money by anyones standards.

All of the people down here in the comments saying he should have bought a V8 somethingorother... The whole point in the Blue Turd was a fun little daily driver / runabout that was economical. It used less than half the fuel that Marty's Subaru's did. Also, get some imagination and broaden your horizons a bit. V8 isn't the answer to everything, and nor are most of the ones I've seen suggested fast anyway. I'm not sure how long it is going to take American's to realize that horsepower makes a car accelerate faster rather than torque either...
@prizedcoffeecup9 жыл бұрын
Tell me about it...look at those guys who just chucked a Hayabayusa motorcycle engine into a Smart Car. Yes, it was stupid, no, it didn't lack power. A small detuning or a complete handling overhaul would have helped the tires catch grip, but otherwise that thing is just freaking nuts! And it's a Smart Car. Probably still getting some sort of gas mileage for a car too...a larger gas tank wouldn't hurt considering how freaking overpowered the car is with that Hayabayusa now installed.

so summary, get your old broken down car, buy a newer, faster one (for twice the price a working version of your old car), and instead of just using the newer one (if it is drive-able), spend about two days completely taking apart both cars and fit the new engine into your original car. Now you have a some what faster car although no one will really care due to its age and appearance. Nice!

This swap has inspired a swap for my own daily driver, it will recieve a similar power increase that the Turd received and has a similar weight too. It is a WA Ford Festiva with a tired 1.3L mazda B3 8v sohc carb motor that makes 43kw, I don't want to mess around with anything overly complex so I'm going to get a 1.6L mazda B6-2E 16v sohc carb motor out of a KF Livewire (same as the TRD LZR) which makes 64kw. Same block so it will bolt straight in.

That car looks, sounds, and drives like garbage. I have a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, best first car you can buy. I got mine for $1,600 and it has heated leather, sun roof, bose stereo, fog lights and best of all a Supercharged 3.8L V6 which makes 240hp stock, although after I put about $300 into it, it makes 265ish. (U-bend delete, undersized supercharger pulley and an intake) So reliable, I have 165,000 miles on it and have never had any major issues (once the battery died and it killed the mass airflow sensor which cost $20 but thats it).

Both builds with similar concept, pull out all the good bits like drivetrain and interior bits from a donor car(Both happened to be wrecked) and then transplant them. Marty even reupholstered the rear seats in a similar manner. Only difference is cars these days are so much more complicated with the CAN nonsense and stuff.

I swapped the top of the line best K24a2 into my 8th gen civic SI over the stock K20z3 and I absolutely love it. You can actually make money doing it yourself too selling the z3!

The engines on most newer VW golfs are quite good. they last for a while and have little to no problems. The diesel ones are economic as fuck too.

TOO MUCH POWER HE SAYS..........its a 1.3ltr theres no form of power at all in that thing dude cmon. why do you guys buy baby toys that people call a car. they put bigger engines in bikes.
@jacobs931810 жыл бұрын
For the car, yeah it's too much power, do you see how skinny those tires are? It would be easy to lose traction in that thing.
@deantape275910 жыл бұрын
in a 1.3 ltr..? ive seen bigger engines than that fail to break traction how would this car accidentally break traction?
@jacobs931810 жыл бұрын
dean tape Skinny tires, smaller contact patch.
@rel8m86810 жыл бұрын
It's such a small car that weighs nothing, the power to weight ratio was probably good enough from the factory and with a bigger engine the power to weight just goes sky high, not to mention the skinny tyres Marty also talked about.

If you put a bigger, powerful engine in a small, light shell, then it'll go faster than before. They made the 1.0l to be nippy enough for the Cuore to beat the Civic (which was a 1.5l, just for the record). If the 1.0l was nippy enough for the Cuore, the 1.3l, plus the tires, will make it a lot faster.

The feeling of a swapped engine in a car. Its amazing even if they aren't much different. Kinda like one of my subaru impreza it had a non turbo engine that was burning oil so bad and did just not run right eventually it seized up because I didn't feel like filling it up because I have a lot of engines laying around in my shop so once it stopped a new turbo engine that I was modding went in which made that car a lot faster.

This video popped up in my feed, so I thought I'd give it a watch, and I remember watching this video a few years ago. This build reminds me off the Yaris Hilton build quite a few years after this one. I've been watching you guys since I think it was the WRX motor into the mustard Beetle (Miss Daisy?). You guys have come a long long way, and I look forward to the next video all the time, And never disappointed. Seeing Benny sans beard, he looks much younger and different. He also looks much more intelligent with a beard, LOL. Looking forward to the next video guys.

My friend has a V6 and im sitting here in my 1999 VW Beetle 2.0 v4, yea mines not fast but if i do the right things to it then i can get enough power out of it to have some fun and not outright but a new car, even if i did i would go for a 2012+ VW Golf m because my dad used to have one and it was fun to drive in and looked nice. I dont care what you drive as long as it works great and you have fun
