I've been following Karl forever now. Hands down, one of the best metal fabricators in Canada. I can't say he's best because there has to be lots of guys out there that we just don't know about. I think that's only fair.

You have to put on the original front and rear fenders back on this vehicle, it looks so cool. It’s not a rock crawler. It’s an off-road vehicle. You can take camping for the weekend.

When you run your heater hoses, get some "gladhand" grommets from any truck stop accessory isle. It'll keep the hoses from wearing out on the bulkhead/firewall. I use them for long battery cables when I mount a battery in the back. But I think the hole would be big enough for a heater hose. Another thing I've watched a lot of guys not do is get some weather stripping, and when you build your tank mounts, especially on aluminum tanks, and isolate the tank from the steel mounting frame. Then just use a regular ground strap to ground it. By isolating it, you won't get premature wear on the aluminum, and it's a little safer. Great build!

Some great progress. Some people call if planning paralysis. Getting stuck in a planning mode and continuously second-guessing decisions. I find it useful to just decide to work back-to-front or side-to-side on a project. You make progress which can get you out of that 'paralysis' mode. Be safe and stay well.

I love this build. It definitely has a mad max vibe. I enjoy most of your content but I actually have enjoyed the builds more than some of the just plain metal work episodes. The ramp truck was a cool build too. I love the direction of this 34' Plymouth as it is a car most would leave to rot. What a great way to make a cool ride. The Toyota parts are good tough pieces and the 22R is hard to beat for reliability. I would prefer V8 power as the sound is important to me but I still approve. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see it on the road. I am just over in Langley so hopefully I will see it out at one of the shows or cruises. Take care. Thanks for the entertainment.

Cost ...thats a good component to mention. I think many don't realize what a total cost will be when starting out. One has to be realistic and also know that it will take money to finish and most importantly enjoy so find a way and as ed smith of 5 star engines says "have fun"😊

Don't run tires that are too sticky with the Lincoln locker, I have made that mistake! Limited slip is key, because if nothing slips, something breaks! With a Lincoln Locker the only thing that can slip is a tire, so if one tire doesn't slip you snap something, like an axle shaft. I have no idea what the limits are, but I bet you'll find it with aired down 245's on clean asphalt. 😂

Your right, sometimes the finite details of a project can paralyze us....I need to 'just do' more to complete more of my projects......Also noted its very easy to take a couple hundred dollar project car and drop tens of thousands into it, rubber and paint really sucks up the bills. Something to consider for builds like this, mount 2 to 4 rare earth magnets (Amazon) onto your fuse box and then you can mount the box almost any place but better than that is that if you need to access it, you just pull it down (assuming you left a little slack in the wiring) and do what you have to do. MUCH better than trying to crawl under the dash to check or replace a fuse.

You are absolutely the bracket master! The fuse box mount is awesome, so simple. I look at brake master hydraulics like a gear ratio, the smaller the drive gear (piston) the more power it makes. Fyi, i have one of these heaters, not worth the trouble. I have an original antique car heater that was better. You will need to draw fresh air in to the heater.

I do the same "turn off your brain" trick! When I start thinking too much, I ask myself "What is known and certain?" and "What does this *need* to work?" When you break it down into the most simple questions, it makes it a whole lot easier to get stuff done

That's my biggest problem, I can't just do it. I have to pre plan all my steps in my head. The planning stage can take the longest. Once I've figured out all the variables I will just fly through the task at hand. I would love to be able to just figure things out as they go.

@@Enter-a-name55 It's definitely a learned skill! I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but also impatient... so I'll get so far into the design/planning before I'm itching to just build something and then find that part I didn't think about earlier

I'd enclose that fuel tank with a drain angled backwards underneath. Last thing you want is a low speed rear ender that is enough to split that tank and cover you in fuel (all your ignition sources are where you are). Maybe fab a parcel shelf above it to make the enclosure look more functional.
