The bees and wasps would freak me out too much. When I was a kid, my dad rightly told me they won't sting you if you just leave them be. He WRONGLY continued by saying "Unless they fly up inside your shirt or pant leg and get stuck in there." So guess what I'm still terrified of to this day? Especially because the few times I HAVE been stung, that's how it happened.
@kokoslegend4850
@kokoslegend4850 4 жыл бұрын
Wasps are cunts with wings. If they fly against your head, you have a good chance to be stung. Keep calm, that helps to not get them aggressive. Bees and bumblebees are not aggressive. They can just walk and sit on your hand without stinging. No joke. If they fly against you, your chances are very low to get stung, but they still possibly can, because they can get scared. They are just friendly.

@@kaitlyn__L If you get stung and it flies away it was not a bee, they cant unscrew their stinger, its barbed and our skin is just too thick, the bee pulls and pulls until it rips, normally they fight other insects where they can pull out without problems, but not with our skin (at least most parts, if you get stung in the eyelid or ear they may be able to leave because the skin is thinner there)

The bacteria that turns wine into vinegar comes from the vinegar fly, which appears like magic around any fermentation. Just the slightest contact will ruin the whole batch. That is why, when making wine, the most important thing is to protect the batch from flies, hence all the fermentation traps and such.

Yeah, it's also known as "ditch weed" (which is how it was referred to in the video) and has very, very little THC :P

Hey, we started making red wine last year as a hobby, and i get that modern wine may be different, but we do not add anything to the wine, the only modern tech is the masher and the barrels. But we still leave the wine open for a week with the actual grapes still in it. They help seal the violent fermentation that takes place within the first week, just stir once a day and leave it. Then just close the barrel and don't touch it for a few weeks. Way after that you remove the grapes and squeeze and strain the liquid, after it has turned into wine. No yeast or sugar or anything like that. Maybe this method might prove more effective in future wine episodes :D

I really enjoyed this episode. As always, great educational content. But the wine tasting had me smiling all through, it seemed really fun. Keep up the great content Andy! And I hope Lauren stays on the show, I think she really fits and adds great personality !

It might've been a good idea to add a tiny amount of grape to the tomatoes, to ensure some Yeast got into it and actually made Ethanol.

2:26, don't mind him, just admiring the citrus berry weed, it's a misnomer because it contains no citrus, and yields no berries...but it's a weed for sure.
