You know what, I baked this cake today and it's INDEED the best chocolate cake ever!!! It's light and crumbles in your mouth.. Soo good.. I amended the recipe a little, I used 2 cups of spelt flour and 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour, I added 2 tsp of coffee granules in the hot water for richer chocolatey taste and added vanilla bean extract as a final ingredient ...Soo good.. Try it out...

@@pinkpunkpunk3099 im not sure with brown rice flour since never tried it before but i dont think it will work on coconut flour since it needs high amount of liquid because it's low in moisture. It's abit tricky though.🫠 Every flour is not the same, it needs different method to make certain recipes.

Oh my goodness! This is by far the best chocolate cake I've ever had!!! No kidding! I made a combination of coffee and hot water and it just intensified the chocolaty taste. So moist it doesn't need any syrup like other cakes. We're not vegan but since our baby is allergic to eggs and dairy we gave it a try. The cake is beyond AMAZING! Thanks a lot for the recipe!!! Un-Be-Lievable!!! Absolutely DIVINE and super simple. I cut the recipe in half and cooked for 30 minutes in 8x8 pan in my Breville oven. I subbed applesauce for the oil and it was moist, light and fluffy. I know people worry about subbing applesauce for oil but I've been doing it for years and the cake was not too dense at all and PERFECTLY cooked! This by far was one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever made and I would say better than most I've paid for! I loved that I only had to use 1 bowl for the cake and used the same bowl for the frosting. Less dishes = more time for cake! Thank you for the inspiration! Love your videos and appreciate all you do to promote delicious veganism.

Made this cake yesterday and it’s truly the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had. I’m still trying to process that I made it, haha. I used olive oil as my neutral oil and it worked really well and I also halved the icing measurements and it was plenty of icing for us. I already recommended this recipe to friends and family. I made this for my wife's birthday and it absolutely is the best vegan chocolate cake. Period. Possibly the best chocolate cake we've had overall. We both LOVED it. I only have 1 9" cake pan so used my 2 7" pans. Because they were taller it took an additional 8-10 minutes before the toothpicks came out clean, but otherwise it was perfect. I made this exact cake recipe and just tried a slice and it was absolutely amazing! I have accidentally bitten off more than I can chew because the brooklyn blackout recipe was so much it ended up giving me 1 giant and 2 medium cakes and I'm expecting that I might be the only one in the house 'brave' enough to try the vegan cake But an absolutely wonderful recipe - so moist and it tasted amazing - I worried about the cocoa powder I used being too 'cheap' but the boiling water blooming it made it all come together so wonderfully thank you

So……..I have to start off by being honest, I am not a vegan! Although, I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night and now I feel like I know everything about being a vegan. Now, with that out of the way…….oh, and after finally getting the image of you out of my mind, my wife (who is now vegan) made this recipe. Oh my god! I went with this video simply because it was so easy to follow and beautiful to look at, and as a bonus I got some chuckles in. The cake itself was seriously the best chocolate cake I've ever had, just the right amount of sweetness that hits the spot. One of my sons has food allergies, and the fact that he could enjoy from the same cake as everyone else means a lot to us. And everyone else loved it as well so there's that !
