I just made this yesterday for my son's birthday, and it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!!!! So, not only is it vegan, but it's also the BEST chocolate cake that I've ever tasted. Just made this today for my birthday!! The only thing I had trouble with was getting the icing to be thick enough, I had to add a lot corn starch to thicken it. Struggled making the little rosettes so ended up taking them off hehe, but overall was super easy to make! Cant wait to eat it :)

First time I made the cake it was too oily, so the second time around i used 1/3 cups of oil (vs 1/2) and it came out much better!

I made it for my wedding day. Everyone really enjoys it. It turns out so moist and delicious.Just one thing is that it is really sweet :) I think cut down the sugar for the make from 400g to 300g and it turns out nice. And for the buttercream I think if we reduce the amount of milk a bit then we can reduce the icing sugar then it wont be too sweet. Thank you for your great recipe.

THIS CAKE WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! OMG! I followed it exactly. I used 9 inch pans so it was thinner than usual. It was so moist, my top layer broke when trying to put it on top. Haha. I managed to put it back together and added the icing. I’m still shocked how amazing this cake taste! I’ve never made or tasted a cake that was so moist!!!!! My #1 cake! i tried the recipe and i can confirm that it is GOOOD!!! i subbed coconut for olive oil, and used 3/4 the amount of sugar. paired with a warm chocolate sauce (melted chocolate + vegan butter), this hit all the sweet spots. also this recipe is so easy??? i literally just threw all the ingredients into the bowl, whisked them all together, and sent it into the oven. seriously highly recommending this for any occasion. amazing chocolate flavour, minimal ingredients, and minimal cleanup!!! 🤩🤩🤩
