When I watch your vids, I feel like I'm in school (in a good way). Your teachings are great. I've learned so much!! I think essential viewing for all!

Walker does an excited R2D2 at 10:53...or a really big score on Xenon.

Really enjoy these demos, l have O-Ctrl and coast and wondered if I can utilise to control my eurorack modules, any suggestions on patching??? Anyway Walker always illuminating 🆒🎶🎶👍🕸⚡️👽

For sure the 0-CTRL can be used with any Euro modules! I love to use it with my Morphagene-focused case for sort of hands-on control over musique concrete.

I often use the envelopes on my 0-coast to control parameters on my modular and use the 0-Coast oscillator as a modulation source for FM and AM of stuff in my rack. Paired with external control voltages like envelopes (to modulate the modulation amount) these layers of timbral control can get pretty expressive. I honestly do this, using the 0-Coast as a modifier of external voltages and as a source of control voltages, more frequently than I use the 0-Coast as an audio source itself.

First of all thanks for these videos ! I just want to know if it's normal that each time I plug the power supply of the 0-ctrl it start running the clock

What kind of oscillator sounds best with amplitude modulation applied?
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC3 жыл бұрын
"Best" is subjective... the math of AM is such that the most "legible" sound would be two oscillators with simple (not many harmonics) waveforms, such as sines or triangles, tuned to some precise ratio of each other. As the ratio changes and/or the waveform becomes more complex, the additional harmonics added by AM become further and further from the original sound, and it is difficult to distinguish different waveforms from each other. However if you have something like the Multiply circuit on the 0-Coast, modulation of this changing waveshape can create interesting patterns when it's in motion.

That OG system in the background always taunts me in all these vids. I dreamed of getting that for YEARS.. by the time I got done with university and got a job .. the OG CV Bus was what was out (pre BG.. .. EV just was coming out). I found an OG system once for $2k.. I didn’t get it bc I had a system but I regret it anyway
