I'm very resistant to digging through my scraps to make a mosaic. Just being honest. 😫😫😂😂 That's going to add a whole lot more time to an already time consuming project. BUT if I do end up ordering mosaic nippers, then it would be a whole lot less daunting. 😂😂🖤🖤 That's the worst part.

Great job! Mosaics are definitely addictive. You should also try your hand at fusing glass. Your skills as a cutter would make the transition so easy. And tho I love doing stained glass and mosaic glass, fusing in a kiln is my favourite. You can also do mosaic fusing. No mess, no grout lol.

After watching your Sun/Moon box mosaic, my preference would be to mosaic the moon/stars, with a cosmic dust tail. Regardless, the piece looks nice. Do you have a rotary phone to set on it? Welbond cannot be used for outdoor application, best to use thinset. Thinset can be used for indoor pieces as well. 💖💖🎶🎶

Thank you!!!! & Oh dude I have SO MANY, I call them my "artist outfits". 🤣🤣😂😂 that one specifically was from target, the brand universal thread. I have some from wild fable- target. Some from "Iron fist"-brand. And some right from Amazon! Type in cotton or linen overalls in whatever color you want!!! I've got them all. 🤣🤣 let me know if you want me to link you to all the ones I have. I don't mind. Lol they are too good to not have!!
@candeeham74232 жыл бұрын
I have never done mosaics, so your video was an interesting and informative. Always have trouble with my "pen" lines being erased by the water on my ring saw. So, I have to remove the piece and redraw the lines. What "pen" or other device do you use to prevent that as your lines seem to stay in place even with lots of water splashing on them?
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Sharpie and use anything oil based. Chapstick, Vaseline etc. It will stick the lines in place but it is absolutely messy. I don't particularly enjoy recommending it because if you don't wash every spec of oil off the glass, it will ruin the foil adhesion/project. So use that trick when it's absolutely necessary and just triple, and I mean triple wash those pieces after. Dawn dish soap. 🖤
@candeeham74232 жыл бұрын
@@MakenzieHallie Thank you. Will try that. I have also heard that Elmer's rubber cement might work. If so, it might be less messy. I have NOT tried that yet.
@aussiemachandmadeeverything11 ай бұрын
Mackenzie i was told by the guy who first taught me a few things that doing a grid like that , so going over a score line like that will wreck yr cutter wheel, have you found any problems with that ? 😊
@MakenzieHallie10 ай бұрын
Ive heard that from a life long glass artist too! And theoretically that has to be right, just thinking of what the glass does while getting scored. But i've never ever noticed a difference. lol. These glass cutters last so long as is, even cheap ones, its impossible to pin point where the most wear and tear is coming from. But after doing it for years now, have I ever noticed it gets worse or something? Never.
