Looks really nice, if you are going to hang it, you would probably need a drip tray attached. Would be interesting to have ideas on how to do that.

"I am that person"... sounds like Amos from the Expanse, he is so cool. Nice work. It may be good to go maybe half inch up the side seams with the sealer so water doesn't climb up the seam.

Hey Makenzie love your videos! Curious as to if you put anything under to catch any water for plants other than a cactus?
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Hey Margaret, thank you so much! And I do not prefer water trays, visually, but you can always use one if you'd like, like any planter! I always take all my plants, hanging or not, to the sink, thoroughly soak them, let them drain for a few minutes and put em back!

Makenzie, you are a great teacher, your tutorials have taught me so much. Thank you for sharing your gift. In your opinion, do you think using a stain glass polish/finishing compound as a final step is necessary? I'm trying it out, but finding that it removes alot of the black patina.
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! And no I do not. Lol. I do not use any "glass cleaners" or "stained glass polish" ....In my opinion it's just another product to sell to the people. BUT some folks love it. Just not for me. 🖤

Looks great. I wonder does that glass transmits enough light for photosynthesis? Guess it might depend on the type of plant? idk.
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely it is with clear glass. I would never suggest it otherwise. Like I mention in the video, 5 full sides is for cathedrals only. If your using opaques, 3 sides like there design & beyond that plants that will tolerate lower light as a further precaution! 🖤

Hey guys!! Let me know if you have any issues as far as delays after ordering this book, so I can reach out to the Amazon seller! 🖤

Just curious, do you plan on making your own planter patterns? 🤔
@imawsome477 Жыл бұрын
Do you think that it would be sturdy enough to hang if you only did the three sides like it suggested?

I would say yes, just because its published in the book. Just can't say for sure never having made it.

Makenzie ... I went to Amzn and ordered the book. It's shipping date was delayed till aprox March 7th so I canceled the order. Perhaps others who wanted to follow along are having the same problem as I had. Amzn really let your followers down. Just a heads up !!!!!!
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Bummer, sorry you would have to wait an extra week! I've already had many others order and receive the book no problem. How long it took everyones I'm not sure. Mine came the next day, but I know thats because I'm very close to a warehouse. If the book was unavailable or something then I wouldn't link it. 🖤

@@MakenzieHallie ORDER PLACED: March 16, 2022 was to be delivered Tuesday, March 22. It didn't arrive. On March 23 there was a new estimated delivery date: Friday, April 1, 2022 - Wednesday, April 6, 2022. So my book would be delivered 16 to 21 days after I ordered it. That's why I canceled my order. Makenzie I'm in South Dakota so it's normal to have a 5 day wait but not 16 to 21 days. Thanks Rick

Makenzie what brand of solder do you use? is it 60/40 or 50/50? and what temp do you set your iron at?
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
I use many, 60/40 and 50/50 included. My favorite brand is technically Canfield, but its so expensive I rarely buy it. So I do end up buying bulks of eagle solder, Avril or VWM. I will never and have never shared where my iron is set at. Counter productive as there are so many variables that not only change what you want to set it at, but variables from iron to iron, year to year it ages. I say tough love. I give all of the information you need to learn melting points/solder behavior in my soldering school video. (Tough love) I feel if your forced to learn it. You'll remember it forever. 🖤
@calmingfx2 жыл бұрын
@@MakenzieHallie Sounds good... I havent used 50/50 much I only use 60/40. no specific reason why. But I think my main thing is remembering to slow down and take my time. I also think I need better solder. I use the stuff from hobby lobby.
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Oh absolutely. Both the glass and solder from that place can be....treacherous. 😂 and that's good!! Then you only need to make that tiny tiny adjustment if any at all from 60/40 to 50/50. Remember 50/50 is for "filling gaps" and tinning only anyway. 60/40 is the head honcho, bead builder.
