Hi Makenzie, I love watching your videos, I learn alot. I saw something that might interest you, I saw someone grinding glass and they put a 10 gallon aquarium on its side and put the grinder inside so they don't have water and glass flying everywhere. Although I've never tried it, I thought it might be a good idea

Really enjoying your style and sensibility approaching each step! You are inspiring me to get back into the hobby. Have you tried using rubber cement to adhere pattern pieces to the glass? I like using it to keep pieces nice and tight on the glass and it comes off easily. Thank you for living your craft!!!

"dont copy my designs" 🙈😁 this style is exactly what inspired this little witch here. 🙈🖤🌙⭐🔮 Anyway. My first asignment was nipping a " keyhole" and try to leave the glass in one piece...( It broke into five) then i had to fill in the hole, so I came up with a scrying sphere. Now i hope i can finish it before summer🤞🏻 íf classes will continue at all.

@MakenzieHallie 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. If I'm not doing something crazy, doing it by hand can be easier still. I am HORRIBLE at drawing. Lol. And I think the years of making my stencils by hand, is what even allows me to use procreate now. You know what I mean? I had to do it by hand first.

You are the best! Other videos I've seen, they use special scissors for cutting patterns. Do you need to use pattern scissors (personally I find them to be a bit of a pain in the a$$) to make your pattern fit?
@MakenzieHallie
@MakenzieHallie 3 жыл бұрын
Its totally up to you! Just like every art, its what works best for you. If I was ever to use someone else's stencil and not my own, I would most likely use foil shears.

Great overview! I would love for you to make a more complex project with lots of small pieces. I have trouble with the spacing between pieces before they are foiled and cutting them to allow the correct spacing. I find foil scissors to be inconsistent. Thanks.

Hey Makenzie! Thanks for another great, informative video. I have an issue when it comes to grinding. I am new to stained glass and therefore usually end up with things that needs to be ground but the sharpie keeps getting washed away by the water of the grinder. Any suggestions? Thanks!
