Hey girlie! Love the night lights! You're designs are always so simple yet so adorable! I do have one thought though, if your clips are made of brass (I'm not sure if they are or not, they look like it) you can just put flux on them, heat the clip up on a higher temp with your iron tip just a sec and the solder will flow and cover your whole clip! No need to copper foil the clip, and once covered with solder, you can solder anything else to it like your foiled glass pieces. Anything brass, will take the solder, oh and be sure to sand over the brass with some steel or bronze wool first to help remove any oxidation. It will help the tinning process go easier. Hope that helps and I think you are very talented! 🤗

Oh my goodness but your are SOOOOOOOOOO talented, gifted, generous and inspiring...I’ve learned a lot binge watching your videos today...whilst staring down a soldering project I’ve been avoiding since last spring😩😩😩. I think I’ve gotten up the courage to finish the little terrarium I was making so I can send it to my brother for his birthday...in April, lol. Thanks for your hard work and dedication. I’ve learned more today than I ever did in over a year of classes 😁

Why do you use 1/4 inch foil on small pieces? Normally I would think 7 3/2: except for making stronger. Ty so much
@MakenzieHallie2 жыл бұрын
Because I liked how it looked! I did way back when I filmed this video, and still today! Realistically, you can use what ever foil you want, after the minimum for structural integrity. ♡

Hello Makenzie, What temp do you set your, HAKKO, iron to? Thank you for your work, you're very talented and quite an industrious young lady. I appreciate your attention to detail and sweet humor and style. I have re-initiated my stand glass work after 40 years. I'm super excited because I just reconfigured my wood workshop for glass work. You are quite the inspiration. I made your Rose as my first piece. Difficult inside curve cut in the middle of that one, took two try's but I got it. Thanks again.

aw awesome!! I'm so glad your getting back into it!! And yes it really is, when I first made that rose I struggled big time! I'm glad you made it!!! And I'm usually right at about "310" marker, for 60/40! Thank you so much for watching! and thank you for your support!

Very very nice -. And well made -. Indeed you are very gifted and with a big hart -. Maybe I am missing but where can I find the list where you link the material ? Is it possible to solder Jewellery wire to glass ? I have an idea for a night light that combine both -. I have tried serval time but that was a total failure lol -.
@MakenzieHallie4 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you so much! The bulbs and nightlight module are linked in my description! And it depends what type of metal, the jewelry wire is! My most recent video about soldering, goes all over those basics! 🖤
@coletteguimond75464 жыл бұрын
@@MakenzieHallie Thank You so much ... if you have other request on Jewelery Wire & Glass, could you show us the best method to do ? i did try using copper wire,i did apply coper tape on the glass, i apply flux , at first impression it looked like the wire was bounded to the glass but after i try to see how solid that was, the tape came off the glass .. i think it is because i did not apply apply extra pressure so the copper tape is really secure -.. Also should the wire and the glass be bounded sideway or by the front -.

i apologize in advance if you have already answered this in one of your videos, but where did you get that black mat for while you were soldering? And what are they called? Would you say it is still very helpful? I want to make some stained glass jewelry so having those different compartments would be very handy! Thanks! And learning so much from your videos. I am doing a lot of research right now before buying all the supplies and your videos are by far the most helpful

I have one question where did you get your Gray mat that has the grid and ruler?
@MakenzieHallie4 жыл бұрын
I got mine at acmoore when they were still open! BUT good news is you can find the exact mat by the same brand on amazon, at Walmart or Michael's! Its a fabric cutting mat, so you cant solder directly on it, but I do just about everything else on it!! lol! I'm so sorry this response took so long, i'm going through pages of comments youtube never notified me of!!! Thank you for watching!!!!
