austin, glad to see you back... i have an idea for a video which im pretty sure most people want to know, ive been currently producing Pop Tracks while adding trap drums into it, something like some jon bellion songs, Good Things Fall Apart to be exact where the verse and bridge are all stripped with no drums and the hook has this big impact and rise with drums and instruments that are so big that it sounds like a house track, can you please make a video explaining how to get BIG productions on the hook with the drums and synths cause i always try to do it but after adding the instruments and the drums it still feels week

So when producing drums it is more about placing the drum with the appropriate timing first. Then, the refine process occurs. Does that sound right?

Damn🔥 How do you do the Reese Bass or the Bass Group components in general? Awesome 💥

Make pretty much all of my bass sounds in Serum or Ana2. This was Serum and it's pretty simple! You can get some similar patches in our free Saucey Basses free download! Just raise the cutoff on some of those and it will be identical to this!

Do you have tips about mixing multiple layers of sounds as one? Because sometimes i use ott to make them intact and maintian the wideness but sometimes it gets messy Like for example mixing 3 pads to make another unique sound and etc.
Plz plz make a lorde/lana/ jack antoff type tutorial ! Keep It up!

What if we're using more of a natural drum sound from an actual drum kit or a vst plugin like addictive drums .. how would u process that to fit modern pop?
@akshaypadmashali86864 жыл бұрын
Let's say for something like cake by the ocean by DNCE
@MakePopMusic4 жыл бұрын
First step would be finding the right samples, then I’d go with similar steps. Make sure they’re the right pitch, adjust attack and decay, compress and EQ, dial in the room sound (huge component of natural drums) and then just blend samples and layers 😁
@lukewilliams70204 жыл бұрын
Why did you use groove agent for solely a single kick as opposed to placing all your drum samples into the same groove agent ?
@akshaypadmashali86864 жыл бұрын
@@MakePopMusic I recorded my drums from scratch at a studio.. I'm just practicing .. how would I start processing the drums to fit in a modern pop sound.

Depends on the sound you're going for. Good luck getting a hip hop or electronic drum out of an acoustic kit with some mics on it.
