Cleaning the burners the stove and the mini blinds on the window. I also hate changing the light bulb above the sink because it's so hard to reach.

Dishes for me too. It feels irrational but after doing the meal planning, the grocery shopping, the preparation and cooking most of the time, I just don’t want to have to do dishes too. My husband knows this about me and since I’m usually first home to cook he does dishes afterwards (most of the time…). I’ve also decided everything can go in the dishwasher if and if they don’t make it out in one piece they weren’t meant to be.

My pet peeve in the kitchen is cleaning the hood fan. Such a big finicky task. When it’s clean you don’t want to cook anymore and mess it up. Lol

The one thing I dislike washing so much is the griddle on our stove (like the one you have). It gets sticky and yucky. Do you have any cleaning tips on how to maintain it. I have been searching for a great hack? Thanks!!!

Dishes and more dishes!! I don't have a dishwasher so I hand wash dishes but luckily it's just me here. My kitchen is very small so I can't let dishes and pans sit around or the kitchen looks dirty when it's clean.

Storage HAC: Put all the things you use (oils and spices), almost every time, when you prepare meals, on a tray. Find a cabinet near, where you prepare the meals and stoarge their, as soon as you are done. You don't have the clutter on your counter top and you don't have to clean all the oils bottles and spices as often.

Melissa, do you always store your apron or textiles under the oven? That seems like a fire hazard. There was a freak fire in the kitchen the night I moved into a rental (it wasn't due to any textiles), but coming from experience that is a chance I would never take!

Agree! I would hang up the apron instead. Either in the utility room next to the kitchen or in the pantry. If you don't want to look at it in the kitchen.

Melissa, help! We live in Florida, and I am not sure if that has anything to do with my problem, but for the first time ever in my whole life (and I’ve been cleaning toilets for over 60 years), the water holes in the rims of my toilet are black. I have tried almost every toilet bowl cleaner known to man (Lime-Away, Mrs. Meyers, Ty-d-bowl, WD40, baking soda, vinegar, chlorine tablets/bleach tablets for the tank) with not much progress. I have even used a pumice stone. What am I missing? I have 3 toilets, and I am frustrated.

I'm not sure if this will help or not but I get really bad hard water stains to where the toliet will get dark brown. Really bad. Nothing helps except Zep toliet bowl cleaner. I usually put it in the bowl then leave it overnight. The next morning it scrubs right out. I got mine from Amazon but I have heard you can get it at Lowes or Home Depot cheaper. I hope this helps you.

It’s the extremely hard water. I bought muriatic acid and use a toothbrush dipped into the bottle of acid, then rub onto the holes. Let it sit a few minutes, and brush, again. It did wonders for my toilets. I was going nuts trying to clean them. Be sure to wear gloves. Muriatic acid is used in swimming pools.

My husband is oblivious to the mess he makes. The kitchen can be spotless when I leave for work, and when I get home in the evening, it’s a disaster. It’s Groundhog Day. Every. Single. Day. His mother prided herself on having her “housework finished before 9:00”. I always thought she meant a.m. I must have misunderstood.

dishes. with a family of 5, and kids who rarely wash dishes, plus I cook at home 2-3x's a day, almost every day >_< where do you put dishcloths or tea towels when they are still wet, but dirty but you aren't putting a load in the wash yet. the in-between stage of it's too dirty to use again, but I'm not about to run a laundry cycle - this is confusing to me.
