I just ordered one. I love Brother printers I've had a black and white brother printer the HL-L2340D for over 5 years and I've printed well over 20,000 pages on it and it's starting to slow down so it's time to replace it. Hopefully this one is a trooper and lasts a while even after years of abuse.

How do you increase the printing speed on that printer?

I'm not sure how to increase printing speed, but the fact that it's a laser printer means that it generally prints faster than inkjet printers. And it's a professional grade office printer, which isn't as fast as a large bulky copier, but it's definitely faster than a home model.

It appears that the brother mfc-l8905cdw is only a very slight upgrade to the brother mfc-l8900cdw (the one I have). Even the manufacturer combines their reviews on its website.

I've been looking at them both and it seems the difference is the 7" screen and the ability to use the ultra high yield toners. All of the other specs seem to be the same!

Avoid this printer at all cost. Sorry what a piece. I have nothing good to say. Print quality is trash after spending hours and a lot of dollars. 3 years isn't long for this type of thing to wear out and need a complete overhaul. Scan utilities and support is crap. Don't do it!

This printer prints too slow for the price. The brother 2300d($100) prints 80 times faster than this. What a farse!
