My holygrail foundation is the Estee Lauder Hydra Futurist Foundation. I love it! I am also 100% Sicilian on both sides but I have to say I have never used concealer. I did purchase one last year just to try it and it made my under eyes look worse. I guess I am just fortunate in that department. I see other influencers that are in their 50's say that we women should be wearing a matt foundation after the age of 50 but for me it doesn't work, and I feel wearing a matt foundation makes me look older. I love Lisa Hartman's Runway Rouge lip products. They are beautiful.

Lisa, this is a beautiful look on you! ..I have a suggestion for you, please take it as a beneficial recommendation and not as a hate comment.You should wash your face in the morning for various reasons, “Bacteria can accumulate throughout the night and, also, you should prime your skin by cleansing it for your morning skincare routine, not to mention to remove your nighttime creams and serums used the night before.” You need to consider your sweat mixes with whatever dirt and bacteria is on your skin-besides your pores will be filled or clogged with sweat and sebum which is heavy on the skin eventually causing sagging of the stratum corneum layer and affecting the other layers of the skin. Whoever gave you this terrible advice, she has not 5 or 6 years of dermatology and facial anatomy studies like a medical dermatologist. A lot a viewers are misled by so called experts, they are just fanatics hearing advice from other fanatics. Even on the internet you will find misleading information. Be careful! I'm a retired dermatologist, you are getting advice from a real medical professional ..Stay beautiful.!

Thank you for your suggestion.. However, my skin was a hot mess when I washed my face in the morning. My skin has never looked and felt better since I stopped washing my face in the morning. We do not get dirt on our skin while sleeping and the natural oils are so good for our skin. Give it a try and you will be amazed. XO

What I find good for dry skin, (and any other area 😉) is 1000 mg a day of sea buckthorn OIL capsules supplement, it really helps keep my skin plumped up, and when I stop it I know, I’m in my 60s and it really helps, also PURE organic Argan oil, I find it amazing at night time or no make up days. Yes you can’t have concealer or foundation that’s thick, unless you have skin like marble, as it will sit in any tiny crevice.

I am 23 and I relate to the dryness all over my body lol I wish I would rather have oily skin just so I would not have to deal with dryness, acne and rosacea at the same time. Also not setting the concealer or foundation can really change the game. I usually set it over blemishes, my brows and near my lips. I sometimes set my undereyes and I always do it very lightly. Avoiding the area completely near the eyes is a good idea too. I think blending the eyeshadow lower also helps with it as it makes the eyes bigger and rounder whilst hiding the wrinkles. I always try to stay as minimal with as full coverage as I can go and I noticed blending my foundation with a small brush is what allows me to buff it in without making my dry patches stand out or making it look blotchy with my redness showing through. I also use a satin matte foundation that doesn't show too much texture bc it isn't too shiny yet it doesn't look too matte. Keeping the skin minimal, but putting a lot of attention on my eyes and lips is my go to look. I love glam, but my textured skin doesn't handle too much product well, so I really found my routine that still looks skinlike

I agree with you 100% about over using products, I use to use like 5 serums, 2 moisturizers, primer before I even got to foundation, now it’s a HA serum and tinted moisturizer. I also don’t use concealer anymore, I just think there isn’t a concealer that exists that doesn’t get into fine lines and I think I look so much better the less I use. Dear Lisa. Yes I'm 63 and I have always had dry skin. I when I was younger I had a little more like in my t-zone. I've been with you for year's watching you share and grow. Not only with your. Wake up and all things Beauty related. You have given me someone whom I think of as a real friend. Altho, we have never met. I feel I know you and I feel the reasons why is that you share with us Ladies the good, bad, and ugly. As we all go through during the seasons of our life. Many influencers like to play just the Rainbows and Roses scenarios. Yet you keep it real. So for that, I wanted to say thanks. We as women need to share and help other women. Not trying to tear someone down. You never do this. You share your life experiences with us as you go thru them. I used to feel that if any of my relationships failed. It was my fault. However with all of my marriages as well as serious relationships. I give it my all. I give chances as I've grown I've found I have always given so many chances when I should have been strong enough to just end it. So now as a divorced woman since 2004. I've had several relationships since my last divorce. I'm the first to admit. I have my fair share of faults. Yet one person cannot be the only one who gives it their all. You have helped me realize a big thing or to memit is a huge thing. I now believe that we have people come into our life for a time. We love and have a wonderful time together. Until we begin to grow in different directions. That does not make me or the other person horrible. In my first marriage I was a young girl. Their was not a single person back at that time who could have said. It will not be a forever relationship. However it was true 10 years. Yet as I look back on that. I don't feel as I did when we broke up. I now look at it in this aspect. I was given my most precious and wonderful gift. My Son. If I had not have gotten. Married at 18 I would not have been able to be a Mother. We did love each other and I try as he is the Father of my only child to remember all the good times. Our love for each other as well as our Son. We grew apart. Be was young as well. He never got to live his life. Before I could not be able to, say it's ok. Yet at the age I am now as well as more experience. I realize we were meant to be together for that amount of time. I was where I wanted to be. Yet he wasn't. I cannot hare anyone for growing in a different direction. Funny think is after our marriage ended. He went on to married a girl who was my supposed bf. Yet that marriage didn't last a year. He married again. It lasted 17 years. Yet it also ended from the same issue I had with him. Some mem are just never content. He is single again for over 8 years. He reverted to the man I was with a homebody. I wish him all the best. Because altho being a Mother is the hardest job I've ever done. No training or manual. As most first time Mothers we just die the best we can as well as use what knowledge we have at that time in our life. I never want to stop learning and growing. I want to be the best woma. I can be. My late Dad told me to never give up my dreams. Because when you no longer dream. You may as well be dead. I believe this wholeheartedly. Again thank you Lisa your a special person to me. I have sensitive skin with rosacea and have struggled with the same issue but have found two sunscreens that work really well even around my eyes. The almost like little rash and bumps you speak of around your mouth could be an allergic reaction to the Talc that is in the powder you use.

@@Beauty101byLisaGlad you appreciate the tip :) Delayed reactions can present themselves between the usage too, but if you get tested for an allergy to the talc and can discount that, then it is possibly fungal acne, it happens sometimes when there is bacterial overgrowth in the premixed makeup, it my help to mix as you go. It can be quite frustrating to find the root cause. I like to problem solve and I do have way more suggestions on possible causes....
