I find that it also has a lot to do with personal preference. I truly enjoy watching make up videos, but only like very natural finish complexion products on myself. In the end, it took me some time to figure out there was a mismatch between what I wanted, and what people were recommending. So I now try and figure out whether, even if a youtuber is raving about something, whether the attributes they are raving about are things I even want for myself. For instance, turns out I hate any product (except eyeshadow) with microglitter. As an example, I saw a lot of people recommended the nyx high glass primer to make skin look more dewy, but when i got it in the mail I was very disappointed.

The blood lust palette is another palette with weird colours. I swear people only buy them cause they from jefree Edit: I'm not doubting the quality of the palette I'm just saying $50CAD is a lot to fork out at once for an eye shadow palette. It may have sold better had he have done to mini palettes $25 each or sum. Obviously it depends on your financial state and what your priorities are but for the average person $50 is a lot to fork out at once for an eye shadow palette

I bought the blood lust palette because I love purples, pinks, reds, oranges (and bronzes) on my eyes and I love the palette. I bought it because finding decent purples/lilacs is so hard and I think the palette is great. I didn't buy it because it was JS I bought it because it was a great palette. I love the actual case it comes in also. I know there is all this hoo hah with JS etc at the moment BUT TBH I am not going to stop using it because of that. Why waste my money and stop using a product I love because of that? x

Drama aside, I would never buy a Jeffree eyeshadow again. His formula has been hyped for SO long, and I was wrapped up in the docu-series so I bought the Conspiracy and Controversy. Since then I've used them three times each, I would consider myself pretty good at eyeshadow and they're the hardest formula to work with in the world. They blend out to nothing, they're chalky, they don't layer well even over a tacky base, and I just never reach for them because they're a pain in the arse. I always go back to my Beauty Bay Matte Brights palette, Ace Beaute palettes and the Juvia's Place palettes. I'm trying to get rid of my Conspiracy and Controversy now hahah

Before all the drama, i have loved jeffree star eyeshadows. I have gotten lots of use out of my blood sugar palette. But i was so disappointed with the conspiracy palette when i got it because of the hype. I don't feel inspired to use it and I can't for the life of me think of a look that makes me want to grab it. I love the fact that we have the same skin type because I can guarantee if it works on you it'll work on me! Trust your judgement and its saved me so much money! Also agree that Jeffree lipglosses aren't that nice. I find them gloomy and sticky and it was so expensive considering you can get some nicer formulas from drugstore! Hope you're doing well 💗

For the florence concealer I think it’s light as it was meant for natural makeup and makeup that you can wear to school. I think she said it was meant to be affordable for school children and stuff. So the concept of the brand was light and natural makeup.

But it's £16!! When I was at school an affordable concealer was £1.99 natural collection or collection 2000 (yes there used to be a 2000 on the end!) for £2.99 I accept that I'm an old lady and that teens aren't plastering dream matte mouse on their faces anymore(thank goodness!) but £16 is pretty pricey!

I just wanna remind small youtubers reading this comment that slow progress is still progress. I know alot of people are discouraged to continue doing youtube because of slow growth but trust me, when time passes you’ll look back and realize you’ve come so far. Even if you only gain 10 subs a day, after 10 days that’s 100 more subs you’ve gained. Don’t underestimate yourself and don’t use copyrighted music because you think you won’t ever get monetized anyway. You’ll regret it when you’re monetized and spend your time disputing copyright claims because you didn’t believe you could ever get monetized. When I first started youtube 2 months ago I thought I’d never get monetized so I kept using copyrighted music. Now here I am with 3k subs and halfway to getting monetized and regretting my past actions, disputing my copyright claims all day. Don’t be like me. Just wanted to spread some tips to help out small youtubers who need a confidence boost. ❤️

Soph, I have mega oily eyes and all mascaras run and smudge and transfer on me UNTIL I tried the tom ford one. Honestly, it lengthens and thickens like a dream and DOES NOT BUDGE an inch. It survives my 12+ hour shifts, rain, tears, EVERYTHING. Its pricy but it lasts and damn its worth it. May be worth a try for you. Love your channel and keep up the excellent work 😁❤️ xx

Maybelline fit me foundation or just the fit me concealer depending on how much face makeup you want, wet n wild contour/powder duo, Essence volume mascara in the purple tube, burts bees tinted chapstick, and a simple real techniques or ecotools brush set. Also for a makeup remover I recommend the Garnier micellar water (get the one with the pink cap) for removing makeup, just use it on a cotton round. Hope this helps!

I also have it, and yes, it is a pretty pallette, but it's also a challenging one. Some shades stain awfully, and yes, I'm aware that vegan formula does that, however it doesn't make it any less unpleasant. And honestly, some other shades are plain old patchy and hard to blend. I also have Blue blood and it's not that hard to work with, so yeah, Blood lust definitely had it's flaws.

I think you would really like the blendiful if you just use for your powder products! I put on my foundation and concealer with a sponge and then use the blendiful for powder, blush and bronzer. It applies blush like a dream! 😊
