As a Pro Makeup Artist I use the Jane Iredale Mineral Pressed Powder on all my productions! I love it- it is amazing on men or a natural look. I was the makeup designer on "Reign" a TV Series for CW Network about Mary Queen of Scots! Jane Iredale is one of the best kept secrets in the makeup world!

Linda Preston I’m really keen to get the Jane Iredale mineral pressed powder. Any tips on choising a shade, as i’ll be buying online. This is random, but i wear Warm Ivory in Boots No. 7 foundation (dark hair, blue eyes, fair skin that does tan). I realise this is a bit of a leap to ask!!

Nothing wrong with using something until it is all used up, as long as it is still hygienic. It doesn’t just save money, but it is environmentally sound to finish using something that has taken resources to produce. Thanks for sharing your much loved products that have hit pan. I watched your tightlining video again today. Brilliant. It has given me some techniques to go away and play with, given my eyes are remarkably similar to yours. It is wonderful that you film these absolutely relevant and accessible videos. And I’m looking forward to the next one about skincare delivery; I always like to know more about how good skincare works and what to look for myself when shopping. Thanks again.

I love you for showing the reality of most loved products. Most youtubers would show their most loved/used products straight out of the box. I also love that you mention Rosacea and its limitations with many products. Maybe it's because you watched your sister struggle with it. I find there are very few makeup companies that even take it into consideration when creating products. For the record, anyone suffering from Rosacea should avoid chemical sunscreens as they absorb the uv rays which brings more heat to your already inflamed skin. Stick with physical or mineral powder sunscreens as they reflect the rays.

Great video Nadine. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I’m with you on the mineral powder foundations. Really, disappointingly, underrated. They wear so much better on an oily skin I find. Rarely going patchy in my experience and smoothing over open pores and retinol flakies with ease. Laura Geller is a great one for everyday as it doesn’t require as much buffing as some. Looking forward to your next videos. ❤️

I adore the Hourglass ambient light palette, those powders seriously do a fabulous job!!! They diffuse and bring a nice soft lit from with in glow! I like how flattering it can look on ones skin, such a sophisticated brand.....enjoy most of their products. Thank you Nadine for sharing with us what you have hit pan with. Nothing more satisfying to me to see all of my makeup getting used up, even though I finish off all my skincare like there is no tomorrow lol it takes me a long time to hit pan with my makeup, just seems that they last forever lol

Really appreciated your comments on mineral makeup. Bare minerals was my go to for years. I lived in Florida, the humidity was outrageous and I couldn't stand liquid foundation on my face. It would just sweat off. Now I lean towards IT cosmetics or Laura Gellar's baked foundation

I hit pan on everything! I work hard to have the possibility to buy makeup and skincare that I truly like (and I wait the offers or sales) to really appreciate what I desired. Everyday I rotate my eyeshadows or blushes so they can "live" with me, it's a little bit like the Marie Kondo's philosophy and I think it's a healthy way of thinking. I hit pan on a beautiful brown eyeshadow from Shu uemura, it's old but I never see another one like it (smooth, buttery, rich) and I will buy it again for sure!

I used to only buy things I needed, and had one of each, had to finish it before I bought another, even if I didn't like the formula. One powder or blush or whatever. With palettes, I always hit pan on my favorites and wonder what to do with the ones I don't like, because I loathe to throw anything away. Then I started to really explore makeup. I have more than one of most things now. And I cleaned out things I don't like or didn't work for me. But I still get stuck in ruts where I use the same products day after day. I have to force myself to use some thing different. I have only 3 things I've hit pan on now. My rimmel stay matte translucent powder my elf bronzer and contour from their 4 pan palette, mind you the yellow powder and white highlight are still full. I will never use the yellow powder because it looks awful on my pale cool skin tone. I love hitting pan. That's when I know I want to repurchase that product. And I'm not wasting money.

Thank you, powder is my nemesis! Most powders no matter how coveted they are still make my face look cakey. The hourglass ambient light is the only one I use (I have the luminous lite). Loved this. First comment from me, but I've been following you for a while and let me just say WOW! 🚀💯👌💣You are so good at what you do, so pleasent to listen too (your voice is incredibly soothing) and an inspiration when it comes to getting older. I'm turning 28 this year and my skin has aged immensily the last few years (I've lived quite a hard life before but thank good not anymore and it's starting to show) but you make me feel less bad about it 💖 Your life, as well as you as a person, inspire me SO much to work on achieving my goals and moving forward in life to be able to live a happier and more financially secure one in the future. It would be a dream for me to live my passion as well and buy whatever I want in terms of skincare and makeup. And lastly - I can't believe that you don't have more followers! What's wrong with people?! 😜 Also, could you recommend me a cream blusher that suits fair skin with cool toned pink undertones and quite much redness in the skin? (Not way too expensive under 30$ if that's possible for a quality product) I've heard cool toned skin should have cool toned hair and makeup too, is that right? Sending lots of love from Sweden!

@lynnmiller46696 жыл бұрын
Nadine Baggott I don’t think I like it JUST as much. It has mica instead of pearl powder (from what I can make out from the ingredients list), and the finish isn’t just quite as glowy. Or the pearly glow is just a bit different. I’m 45 and pretty lucky with my skin, but I don’t look my best when I’m totally matted out. I also don’t think the coverage is quite as good - I seem to need more to get the same coverage. I much prefer a pressed powder to loose, though, esp when I take it out and about for touch ups. It’s weird, though - the Laura Mercier USA website has the pressed mineral powder for sale. I got mine in Space NK in Edinburgh, which I thought would have been a pretty reliable source of info. But if it became available again, I would prefer to buy the pressed mineral powder rather than this one.
@chantal63806 жыл бұрын
Nadine, what do you do to avoid your mineral makeup running into the creases? I'm a mineral newbie (my pregnancy causes my combination skin to do stupid rosaceaic things so was on the lookout for very gentle skin and makeup things) and this annoys me greatly. I use a big fluffy brush and try to blend blend blend but still, it rarely sits invisible on my skin..
