Cais (1), I saw a difference within 3 weeks. Most of the change, I couldn't quite put my mind on it. It was an overal impression of ''betterness''. After using CAIS and MMHC for one year, my dry and dehydrated skin was no more. For the next year and a half, I couldn't repurchase and my skin is not as good as it was with this combo but it has not reverted to its previous state either, which makes me a firm believer in Brandon's stance that CAIS (and Niod, really) aims toward long term skin health mainly. I have received the new TO Buffet with copper peptide and am so happy that there is now an alternative in this affordable line, but cannot wait to go back to Niod's core regimen. Deciem has truly changed the life of my skin and I am forever grateful (TY BT)!!

The dermatologist is right! Actual dandruff is a fungal infection, and fairly rare. Most people with flaky scalp are dealing with sensitivity, product/sebum buildup, or dryness, which requires a totally different approach (exfoliation and hydration, just like the rest of our skin!)

I've been using CAIS for a couple of years now and I really love it. I think it's going to shine for people that have very temperamental skin, one day it's oily, the next it has surface dryness, then it's sensitized, then it get spots etc and it just helps to bring everything back down to a healthy baseline and makes everything heal a lot faster. Honestly I think the more 'normal' your skin is and the better you treat its issues with other products, the less of an effect you will see with CAIS. Like a medicine that speeds up your immune response to illness and disease - you'll never see an effect if you never get ill, and other products that directly treat the symptoms rather than the underlying cause will appear to have a more dramatic impact. If you are looking to see some results with it, I would wait for the CAIL 5:2 to come out later this year (much higher concentration of the active) and use it as a 'spot treatment' to speed up the healing of spots, bad reactions to other products, treating sunburn or (my personal favourite) in conjunction with a prescription strength retinoid to reduce the irritation. A lot of products that aim to soothe the skin are oils/balms or thick creams that use ingredients like chamomile, blue tansy and ceramides to heal the skin, so I think CAIS' approach is unique to target those symptoms through peptides in a serum.

aidan k THANK YOU for the great suggestions/ ideas on uses of CAIL I am working my way to higher % perscript retinoid and this will ease some of the uncomfortable side effects of retinoids I also have a VERY sensitive neck (not face at all) and i do end up with bad reactions to some products so I will look forward to trying CAIL 5:2 I use the Paulas choice Nadine suggested and love it to use on off days from my perscript strength retinoid I realize PC product is nowhere near my 1% but on my off days i figure the PC product is a way to use a GOOD and gentle retinal product so not to aggrevate my skin. This Paulas Choice product i can use on my SUPER sensitive neck.

I used up the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, easily the very first makeup primer! I have used Clarins for years and I believe I have pretty good skin for 45. I also used up my Chanel Blue Serum and Hydra Beauty Gel Creme. I have also used your guide to using the Retinol, Niacinamide, and Vitamin C to get the best results. Thanks to you I have incorporated those from The Ordinary into my beauty routine.

I have an oily skin type. I finished to the last drop the Calm Serum from Paulas Choice (love it, its a ceramides serum). I finished my Hydro Boost Gel Cream frarance free (i use it as a hyaluronic acid serum), Ive finished many times my Paulas Choice Skin Balancing Spf 30 (great for oily skin) and my Clinique City block Spf 40 (I use this one around the eyes). I go through Coconut oil relatively fast (I use it on my wavy, untreated hair), been through Many bottles of Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming cleanser and Garnier Micellar water (with the pink cap). Would happily repurchase all of these again. The only one I would switch up in the spirit of more effectiveness is the Hydroboost gel cream, but I still like it. I also finished a bottle of Vanicream Light Lotion (this is a no frills moisturizer I keep as a backup in case some other product fails me. It never irritates my skin or breaks me out. And If I want to take a break of skincare actives, I just use this for a few nights).

I've used up my clinique that was for summer. But I loved it's effects so much I just carried on using it. And Estee night time I always have a spare ready . If it's not broken don't change it. I use Cruelty free bar those two products. I can't find anything that comes close. Tried hard with Clinique but not so hard with Estee. I've used it well, I don't know I'd like to say 20 years. Can't be sure. Love to you. xxx 💖💗💝

Selina Li MUA my hubby was suffering from dry itchy skin which seems to be much better. I’m really impressed however, with the lack of hard water marks all over the sanitary ware, shower hose etc all remain in much better condition. We used to squeegee our shower screen after every shower and still had droplet marks, now we just turn the spray on it to remove any shower cream, shampoo etc that may have flicked onto it. Leave it to air dry and it’s perfectly clear! Use less washing powder for the laundry. It’s not cheap to install but we’re really impressed with the difference it makes.

Which CIAS are you using ? I never used the original. I'm using the updated formula known as CIAS 2:1 In terms of immediate effects I notice my skin is more plump. I thought that the plumpness would fade similar to those brightening eye creams with light reflecting particles. However, It seems as though the plumping effect is lasting as long as I keep up with daily use. I don't know what science makes Copper Peptides plumping but it seems like the new formula has some anti-aging peptides as well and so it may be attributed to that. Originally, I bought it for skin healing and repair. My thoughts on CIAS 2:1 as a repairing serum (in terms of fading dark spots, calming acne, reducing redness) Too hard to say since I also use Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Repairing Serum which is essentially a ceramide serum and Innisfree's Cica Balm (actually is an emollient gel) which essentially is a product containing a heavy dose of centella asiatica. Since ceramides & centella asiatica are more studied in terms of skin repair, I wonder if I can attribute any visible repair results to the Copper Peptides. All in all, I had a strong laser hair removal session on my face and the combination of the three products I mentioned definitely repaired my skin the next day (redness and roughness from the laser was fully gone). My skin type is Sensitive /Acne-prone & Dehydrated (howeverJosh Rosebrook's Hydrating Accelerator followed by Niod's MMHC2 has helped a lot in that area).

Thank you so much for sharing your keepers. I have been using the Paula’s Choice 1% Clinical retinol on my neck and chest area for about three years and like like. I’m not sure how effective it is, however. I would like to think it’s keeping my 49 year old neck youthful. I recently tried the 1% Obogi retinol on my neck and it really irritated my skin. I may give the Osmosis a try on my neck. I use Refissa on my face and love it-but it would t lasting if I extended it to my neck and chest. 😕

CAIS helps me heal my skin. I get blemishes and red, reactive cheeks. This has improved my sensitive cheeks as well as shorten healing time with a spot. For a healthy, strong, non-reactive skin, I would imagine it wouldn't offer much. But! Copper peptide can really increase hair growth. Plus Brandon blocked me on Instagram for saying it is rude to laugh at others, on their personal page, for what products they use. So with that, I will be taking my new beard and business elsewhere. I am going to try rejuvi flavonoids next! Healing without the fuzz or giving my money to an egomaniac.

lazymom beauty, I think I've noticed a difference since I stopped using it, but I started using a mild retinol. I like the idea of changing things up seasonally. I'd rather go back to the CAIS now, but I was waiting for the new version. It's been delayed, it seems. I'm a hairy girl, but after 2 bottles, I'm no more hairy. I guess we all have different reactions.

Nubianette That is what I hear a lot with this product. You notice when you stop using it. I live in the US and I have the new version. It is stinky, but really potent. I had noticed my peach fuzz was growing so fast. Then I read an article about Cooper peptide as a hair loss treatment. For me, it is counter productive as dermaplaning or hair removal are irritating. 😑

You so right! It really is the real deal. The first time I used it, my skin peeled so badly. It took two weeks for my skin to recover! I didn't think I could use it, however, after a few months I decided to try it again, and this time I didn't get such a terrible reaction/peeling, but I had to go slow, only using it once a week to begin with. It's very strong if you have sensitive skin. I'm just amazed when I hear people can use it every night. I've been using it for a couple of years now, and I still can't use it every night.

Me too, totally agree. I don't have sensitive skin, started out with the PC 1%, thought I'd be able to slather it on every night no worries and within a week was peeling like crazy. Re thought this approach and turned it down. Have now progressed to prescription tretinoin with ease but use PC on my neck. Three years after beginning this journey the most striking thing is that my eyes are no longer hooded, I have eyelids again, never in a million years would I have believed it possible. I have no sagging on my neck, only a few faint lines. The PC did most of the work and then the prescription boosted it. It works alright!

I like to try new things in skincare as long as they are cruelty free but there are certain staples that get used daily and I have reordered countless times: NEL vitamin C with hyaluronic and ferulic lasts me 3-4 months and I have been using it now for 4 years. Sinuvalia Watermelon seed oil which takes down my rosacea redness a treat and sinks into the skin fast, now I often put if on top of the vitamin C so it gets sucked up by the hyaluronic in the serum...it blurs my one "11" line and when I put foundation on top that line is hardly visible. Those are my 2 holy grail skin care products....lots of other things I enjoy (less consistently!) but those are the 2 I use daily and would never do without.

I have rosacea with oily skin and my twin sister has it with dry skin! NEL stands for Natural Earth Laboratories and their Vitamin C contains SAP which is a vitamin C derivative that is especially good for skin with acne and breakouts. I have been using it for years now. There is a good article on SAP on simpleskincarescience.com and although he doesn't have rosacea I have found his website very helpful. If you decide to try the NEL Vitamin C it's the big bottle one I use, not the stem cell one which I haven't tried yet. You will need to put something moisturizing on top - I use Watermelon seed oil on top which is skin balancing and works for both dry and oily skins. I really hope this helps - I have fought my skin all my adult life and spent so much money on things that don't work. The trouble is we are all different so it can be trial and error finding what works for you - but as the NEL Vitamin C serum and Sinuvalia Watermelon seed oil works for both me (oily skin) and my twin (dry skin) I really hope this information helps you, whatever your skin type.

I've not noticed any overall positive difference using the CAIS either. Maybe it heals spots a bit faster, but I have less expensive options for that purpose. If anything, I think the NIOD CAIS made my skin dehydrated and slightly temperamental due to this fact. I've stopped using it and my skin is plumper! if you can believe.

For hard water and limescale showers...We use an after shower spray called "No Work" from a company called Melaleuca. A kind to the earth wellness company, The hubby and I both swear we will never be without the shower spray. The product has no chlorine bleach, ammonia, abrasives, phosphates, phthalates, triclosan, parabens, formaldehyde, quaternary OR disinfectants and works like a dream

I still love Deciem and Brandon. As a consumer, it ought to be something really bad to turn me off. Not knowing what went on behind the scenes, I still support this brand : Brandon did come across as super passionate and eccentric, nothing wrong with that. And Deciem has great products I can use daily without breaking the bank!

Another great video! I'm 38 and I use granactive retinoid 2% from the Ordinary but I want to try other brands. Do u suggest Paula's retinol or REN Bio Retinoid Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate Oil (It's my limit budget for now and it has to be cruelty free).Thnk u

I have a question not technically related to this video, I'm a baker and therefore ask my hands several dozen times a day or of necessity. This makes my hands so dry they crack and bleed constantly but I can't find a lotion that doesn't burn my hands. The first time a use a new lotion it's fine, then the second time it usually stings, and then the third time it looks like I've stuck my hands in bee hives they are red with bumps and burn like crazy. Even prescription exzema creams do it and I have no idea what's wrong with my skin. Does anyone else haver this problem with lotions?

I picked up that shampoo from skinstore for $60 USD- it was 30% off! It’s the size with the pump. My husband rarely spends much on his skincare but he loves it so much, he made sure I put the order in

It seems to be impossibile to get hold of a sample of the Skinceuticals TRIPLE LIPID RESTORE where I live; and I would love to know if you (or anyone else reading this) has been using it around the eye area or as a proper eye cream. Also, been using CAIS religiously for the past two years and nothing.. no benefits either. I was wondering thou if it is maybe "deactivated" by retinoids :/
