I used to almost exclusively use those blushes. Then I bought the Lunar Beauty blush palette and tbh that's the only blush I use anymore. I have so many blushes thanks to my subscription box addiction, ipsy and boxycharm constantly send blush, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, and loose powders. I need to unsubscribe and just spend that money on something I'll really love, like putting that money towards my indie brand addiction would have my collection to perfection. It's so hard though cause I also have a skincare obsession and ipsy gives me the chance to use the really expensive stuff

This doesn’t quite fall into the same category, but last week I finally tried the UD glide on eyeliners and I was immediately like “wow, this is why everyone loves these and they’ve been such a perennial classic!” I really wanted to get mushroom after hearing your rave reviews of it, but it was OOS so I picked up corrupt and alkaline and I’ve been loving them! Id been relying on drugstore eyeliner for years, resisting the hype, but like… those pencils deserve it.

Nobody talks about this anymore but RCMA no color powder is by far the best powder I've ever used. It sets everything down so nicely but is NEVER cakey and it just makes my skin look so soft and perfected

I still love my very first palette, the Venus II from Lime Crime. No-thing has ever been so perfectly grungy and the formula is so soft. I believe it's discontiued now (and Lime Crime just cant seem to make good palettes anymore). Also my Milani blush from 2018ish is still going very strong!

Old timey favourites that haven't lost their spark for me are the Fenty cream blush in Rosé Latte - in a sea of cream blushed, this is still my ultimate favourite - bought it the day it released and have finished and repurchased 3 times. Also Nars Sheer Glow foundation - a classic for a reason. I feel like most foundations these days are trying to be Nars Sheer Glow. Pretty, natural, flexible coverage, not extreme in any direction so it works across the board on almost anyone for any occasion. And the Stila putty highlights. Sheer base but a gorgeous spark of interest, not glittery or metallic, smooth without any texture, just gorgeous glossy goodness without actually being a wet and sticky gloss.

I have an all matte all neutral eye/cheek palette from an Australian brand Napoleon Perdis. I purchased it back in 2014 and super embarrassingly I still use some of the shades once in a while.. the formula is so incredible and it's so perfect for my skin tone to use on eyes, cheeks, brows, just everywhere.

Napoleon Perdis' eyeshadows are amazing! I'm so sad that he went out of business. The shadows were pricey, but they performed beautifully. My trios all had the same finish, a gorgeously silky, über pigmented & blendable, high-satin, lustrous formula. I'm STILL searching for a formula dupe, & a replacement for his brown-black shadow.

The Escape Pod pallette from Kaleidos is still the pallette I use the most often and always have fun with. I'm planning to rebuy it when it turns. KVD Everlasting liquid lipstick in Exorcism is still my favorite lipstick and idk how I'm going to replace it when it's gone... if only Fenty made Griselda in a quality liquid lip formula. First off, Bareminerals Rescue Gel Tint. I like it in Vanilla year 'round and Opal for dead of winter. Love the finish and feel and my skin loves it too. Also their Spring 2015 collection, Modern Pop. I missed the launch but saw the items on clearance that fall and eventually bought them all, and even re-purchased the lip glaze again off eBay. It's still available and i have ti stop myself from getting a new one since i just have a drop or two left. The packaging, the cool-toned peachy vibe of the eye quad (which has an amazing taupe shade)and lippies, all got me, and still do, and the cool cream-toned lip glaze is in my top 2 glosses of all time (and I mean 40+ years of makeup wearing!). If they re-launched that collection I would re-purchase everything plus backups.

Love the Roen quads and the Clinique blushes! My only products that I managed to panned. I have some regrets about spending hundreds on the Stained Glass collection - I hardly ever use those shadows. They are stunning but I just prefer less made up looks nowadays. I also want to try Space Cowboy from UD - it looks like something I would enjoy using.

I really am only currently using 4 old favorites, but I took a decade off from most makeup so I am starting over. But i have some longtime loves that are still on the market - 1) L'Oreal Le Liner Signature - smudge&H²O-proof, & Brown Denim is a true matte brown. It is my "high end" brown liner, it outperforms every luxe formula I've tried. I usually find loreal to be overpriced, but they nailed this product & the packaging is really nice & has a good hand-feel, 2) Stila convertible color in poppy always looks amazing when I want a natural cold weather flush or just a gorgeous sheer red blush, also mine is 15 yrs old (I know, iknow) & in great, safe condition - a little goes a loooooooonnnnnggggggg way, 3) LA Girl (which keeps getting better in general) - Ultimate Eye Intense Stay Auto Liner - jewel tone, satin metallic, long lasting (not fully "proof" but wear very well), just creamy/gelly enough to go one smooth & so easy....absolute best colorful, long lasting liner under $10 by FAR, I've tried them all! and 4) it sounds a bit ick, but the Monistat Anti-Chafing gel is actually the most amazing (& affordable) "finishing primer." It's fine but not great at longevity, but it is incredble "spackle," just add it on top of foundation & other creamy products to smooth over lines & texture. It has absolutely nothing to do with yeast infections. Oh, and both liners are twisty not sharpeny.

I have the vanilla one & I use it not only as a lip treatment & a gloss, but when the skin around my eyes is really sore or crusty, I apply some & NOTHING does as good a job. I know that scares some folks because of the added fragrance, but I've never had an issue & my eyes are very sensitive! Thanks for the content Lauren! 💜✨

Fragrance isn't as dangerous as people have made it out to be. Few people have allergic reactions to certain ingredients they use for the smell like essential oils yet soany people make it seem like if your skincare has fragrance it's no good lol but sorry, I enjoy I nice scent to my skincare. I have sensitive skin and haven't had an issue because of the fragrance yet💜I'm gonna try your laneige trick next time I need a moisture boost thanks!!

Love this video idea. I’ve been interesting in the cheek pops but those swatches were stunning! I want it lol. I’ll also look into the first aid primer cause it sounds like it could work for me. My first thought if I could choose is hands down the artist couture diamond light finishers. I have diamond bronze, golden hour and spotlight glitz. So beautiful sparkly I die every time and I’ve had them for years. Fort de France nars highlighter, Becca opal and bare mineral highlighters in joy and free are all chef kiss formulas, especially the bare minerals. It deserves way more hype Side note I think my oden eye set should be coming today!!! Super excited to try it and congrats on the collab!! 👏🏻👏🏻

Nothing has been more holy grail for me as the Mac Studio Fix, it’s melts everything so nicely. The Milk makeup primer in the black tube is another one. SO GOOD. I also love the urban decay ultra matte and have to have both. Agree on RoseQuartz, if I travel and can only bring one palette, it’s the one.

Wow! My 2 never talked about eye palettes is th UD Elements palette. It was a limited edition and at the time I had maybe 4 palettes. I used it so much. It is retired but living above my lip stuff. It is round and I hate that now. Also the Two Faced Life is a Festival with the unicorn. Beautiful duo chromes and they should of stuck with that formula cause I have it on a shelf rarely use now with a collection I am loving on.

The Clinique Blush Pops are the best powder blushes IMO. They came out with an even more glowy formula and that formula is so good too! It is still not too glowy or shimmery - they're just perfect. I just picked up 1 of the new Gucci blushes and I swear the Cliniques are just as good as the Gucci blush. The Gucci is good too lol ☺️

I have a lot of tried-and-true favorites in my collection that I keep repurchasing: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Chaos (I also love the Heavy Metal glitter liners), and an old fave that I recently rediscovered is the old heart box bronzer by Too Faced. It is still sooooo good and is the perfect color and amount of glow or me.

I feel the same way about my Clinique cheek pops, it's just the end all be all of blush formulas for me. I completely panned my fig pop and was so excited to break into my new one. Also in my ride or die list is my Urban Decay all nighter setting spray and two products that are unfortunately discontinued but would have happily purchased then forever the Too Faced Peach Perfect setting powder and the Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi ( RIP Becca). I still have backups but I'm getting nervous as I'm going through them 😭

Abh highlights are so good. I panned one completely and have pan on the other they still hold up. UD eyeliners. Marc Jacobs flesh and fantasy blush - still holding out hope that brand will make a return. Burberry lipstick and blush from a few years ago - they are such good quality. I could go on so many things are older but still are such bangers its amazing how we just get new new new so much thanks for this throwback video Lauren!

I'm trying to take an inventory of my collection to figure out what still sparks joy that is old, and thats most of my makeup to be honest 🤣. But the stand outs are lipsticks, which surprises me as someone who doesn't use lipstick often but when I do I want to make a statement. The CT matte revolution formula is absolutely worth it in my opinion and Hells Bells is my little jewel. Same with the Oxblood lip color from Burberry that is ancient mini point perk I refuse to declutter

My skin is so similar to yours - oily overall with some dry spots and *finicky*. Some days my makeup will look great and the next day it's trash. But you turned me on to the FAB Coconut Smoothie primer, and it's holy grail status for me now. It really does control my oil and just give a plumpness to my face that other primers and even day moisturizers don't do. Love your recommendations!

Laneige also has lip glosses/balms. The gummy bear one is my favorite. I still love my UD Moondusts, and Space Cowboy has always been my favorite one.

If u like the laneige lip mask DEF check out the new Ole Henrikson lip mask!!! Seriously, I have like 20 masks, balms, oils etc trying to deal w my dry/chapped lips. The OH feels similar to Laneige, maybe a bit thicker. But it has WAY better ingredients, peptides etc. And it seriously works. In a squishy tube, not cheap but worth it imo

People dont talk about Lorac at all but I still love their eyeshadow releases and colour source blushes and highlighters. And even though Becca is no more, Im clinging on to their blushes, highlighters and face palettes for dear life. Lol.

For me it MAC lipstick and lip pencils, NARS radiant concealer, NARS eye shadow primer (but I think it has been discontinued because I cannot find it anywhere), the COVER FX two side blushes still love them.

The way you describe the perfectly imperfect "broken down" makeup look. I want effortless. I'm 30 and wrinkly and have three girls jumping all over me while I'm doing my makeup. Also, one of said girls is really into makeup. Yep, I let her go crazy when she's just at home hanging out. But she's almost 8 so I don't want her thinking she has to wear it. She sees me put on full glam, full beat (which is usually just me experimenting) and she wants to do the same thing. I told her I don't wear makeup because I feel like I have to. I do it literally just for fun. To paint my face. I do however like to do my makeup when I go places but we usually just sit at the house. I want my girls to believe makeup is an option but not a necessity. I also want them to explore it if they want because it's fun. I usually just do my thing and play around. I want to be able to do something in 5 minutes. 💚🖤
