Fun fact: The red shade that Elizabeth Arden created during WW2 was actually made to match the red piping on the military uniforms and it was issued to all women in the service in their make up kit. The shade was eventually known as "Victory Red". Bésame Cosmetics actually sells a reproduction of this shade on their website as well as other period accurate shades from various decades in history.

Awh the end was such a full circle moment. I’ve worked at ulta for almost 7 years and what I enjoy the most is when I’m able to help a guest find a product that makes them feel beautiful, and watching their face light up when they look at themselves in the mirror. Fun fact: they still use lead in lipstick in many major brands. If you'd like to see if your own lipstick contains lead, simply swatch a few swipes onto your hand, take a solid gold ring, and rub it back and forth over the lipstick swatch. If the swatch begins turning black, it does contain lead. I hope this is helpful!

This is by far one of my most favorite episodes. I am a nurse, and when I was still a student we were highly encouraged to put make up on as to cover the stress and non-sleep nights showing on our faces so we don’t look as pale as our patients. I remember the first time I put on a foundation and how thrilled I was that my skin looked even. I was 14, horrible acne. I was so excited that I ran and told my mom, she was like "meh okay whatever" I was thrilled. Honestly I've been chasing that high ever since.

I started wearing makeup super late, mostly for complementing my cosplays. It was such a wild ride, and I'm still rocking the weirdest lipsticks. My favourite is glittery green. XD My makeup is meant to intimidate XDDD
