I don't think people consider this kind of thought enough. It is very sad that a person born the same as any of us had the type of life that led him to become such an awful man. Doesn't mean that you condone or excuse what he did, but you wished things could have turned out differently/better

Can we take a moment to applaud his 17/18 year old wife for turning him in? This teenage girl deadass said "not on my watch" and turned in her husband for being a POS. Even though they were legally married in like the 50s so she was basically property and she knew he was dangerous and he was way older than her and she was just a teenager. Girl has some guts and an incredible moral compass.

That’s why we should focus on rehabilitation and not locking them up if you see he actually got out and nothing was changed. Also investing in Children is crucial free education can be a way out for many of these children but we want to focus on giving the military money we don’t have instead of people that will inevitably be 100% of our futures. Jail is not effective for everyone in society w issues. It makes no sense most sentences end eventually and these people will just be worse given the conditions and isolation. Makes zero sense

Bailey is a mesmerizing story teller. She tells well investigate stories with a plethora of fact and photos. It goes without saying that her shows are amongst my top three favs. What really sets her apart from others is her empathy for victims as well as perpetrators. She is fair minded in her story telling, and fills in the backstory of events that may have led to the making of psychos. She is clear that these criminals are evil, but understands that some of them may have been saved if their families, friends and people closest to them could had intervened. I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but his daughter did an episode of Evil Lives Here. She said he was a very attentive and loving father. Probably the only thing decent he ever did was be kind to his daughter. She said one time the kids were making fun of her at school and she was visibly upset. Her Dad kept asking "What's wrong, baby?" So she told him the kids were making fun of her, because she didn't have a Dad at home. He gave her a loaded pistol, told her to hide it under her pillow from her mama, take it to school and tell them kids if they don't stop she'll put a cap in em. She said she knew that was wrong and told her mama. If I remember right, that was the first grade lol. She also said that while she loved her Daddy, she was aware that he was the full embodiment of evil. She also became a foster parent to a lot of children, she said she wanted to put some love back into the world, since her Daddy took so much away. She seemed like a really sweet and genuine lady.

This reminds me of a kid in our complex YEARS ago. He was 5 and so was my son. He kept showing up hungry, wich was fine, but he also ALWAYS stole my kids toys and would be aggressive, curse, etc so it got to where he couldn’t come over. One day he did anyway and I walked him home. I asked why his house was dark and he said he couldn’t reach the LIGHT! He was ALONE at night. I left a note with our number. His grandparents called and I told them what was going on and that I wanted to call CPS. He went to live with them, away from his mother (who I never met even though I often fed and took care of her child) I often think of him.

My cousins straight took a child from her apartment complex on vacation with her bc his mother was never around (he was TWO) My cousin was the one who fed him and bathed him, changed his diaper and washed his clothes. She called cps multiple times but they wouldn’t never do anything. They always scheduled home visits with the mom so she would make sure she was home for those. But the rest of the month she’d be gone weeks at a time. Leaving the kid to wonder the apartment building. Eventually the mother got evicted from the apartment and my cousin was heart broken. We never saw him again. I was probably 11 or so but it gave me the Desire to foster when I was old enough! I think about him (his name was Levi) a lot. I hope and pray he is okay.
