As a special ed teacher, it terrifies me that one of my students may get into trouble one day and if no one is there to tell them what is going on and help them with things, what is going to happen? Will the police wait and give them time to process questions before they answer? Will they be able to explain themselves in a way that is clear and understandable? Will they understand what they did that got them into trouble enough to not do that again? I wish law enforcement as well as lawyers (and everyone else on the planet) could have at least some kind of training on how to work with people with disabilities. It is so important

There’s not even a way to determine the numbers of how many are on death row unjustly because the system sees them and guilty and will report them as so. Despite evidence and more saying they’re not guilty. Also why so quick to give the death penalty to so many black people while a lot of the stories Bailey talks about revolves around white people who don’t get the death penalty.
