I knew a nurse that spent her shifts mostly just gossiping with other nurses and doing the bare minimum work. She was skinny and bleached blonde and wore a lot of make up and married a wealthy man and basically carried herself like she thought she was still a high school mean girl. One day she gave an elderly patient 5.0mg of morphine instead of 0.5mg and the patient passed away. I liked the patient a lot so I asked the nurse if she had heard anything about what was going to come of it. I expected at least a flash of guilt on her face, but she just shrugged and said, "I'm not really worried. I have insurance if they sue me." ... I was soooo sad that she didn't care about the patient dying. Nothing came of it, btw. The family was just like, "Oh, well. It's okay. She was old." WHAT?!?!

Also, I'm in nursing school and my professors have told me about nurses sneakily putting in bottles of medicine in their pockets. Now it's a rule to log the medication and to constantly count how much medication there is just to make sure no health care professional is taking anything from the medicine carts. I think they may have added cameras to the medicine cart station as well, I've seen em in my clinicals. Jane might have not had to log how much medication she was withdrawing because at around that time period, nurses weren't seen as "actual workers." They were sort of seen as nothing in a sense. I think that's been a rule for a while now they have to do pill counts and measure liquid bc employees were taken the medication this has been for sometime now or at least hospitals were suppose to be doing this for a long time now

It is nearly impossible for any hospital nurses to steal medications and not get caught....everything is counted, all narcotics need a cosigner for wastes...there are cameras everywhere. Every now and then someone will slip thru the rocks however they always get caught. Just always do your best and stay honest. It is still a great profession

Same girl! Nothing fits me any more but i came from a very abusive relationship and finally got away and i meet a really great man as i was trying to raise my 1 yr old son. When i was in that bad relationship i was 95 pounds but i was not allowed to eat but mushrooms and *gross* but then i meet my husband and now im 150 pounds and i cant fit nothing but im so happy and i never thought i would have got tho what i did and im actually proud of my self ... 🥰😇💯😋
