This was a messy case. The parents of Tim filed a case against the police. The police really did bad in this. They just watched and waited for 4 hours while Tim was being mutilated, eaten, and decapitated. What parent could accept that? The police were so lenient. They could have stormed the bus to stop him from desecreting Tim's body but no, they just waited and watched for 4 hours!!!!

@TallulahFoxxx5 жыл бұрын
Armani berg I have a psychology degree and I agree. What I DON’T agree with though is his full release. Considering what happens when his condition goes untreated, he should have been kept longer in a mental facility I think. Statistically, very few schizophrenics are violent and if they are, they’re most likely to hurt themselves than others. The issue is, the ones who DO hurt others tend to have more severe forms of the condition. It’s fine when they’re on their medication but unfortunately the OP is missing a HUGE part of the issue with schizophrenia. It’s not like bipolar. Schizophrenia is true madness. Your brain literally cannot tell the difference between reality and imagination. That part of your brain is disabled. If he’s late taking his meds due to an unavoidable occurrence (eg. Lost his keys and can’t get into his house for hours, or a blizzard prevents him getting home from work etc) those paranoid thoughts quickly manifest! Those paranoid thoughts say things like “the medication is poison! They’re trying to control your mind! Don’t take them!” ☺️ Their ability to rationalise is completely affected, so unfortunately they don’t have that awareness to have responsibility. Bipolar can have manic episodes, but the vital component is you still can separate the real world from imagination. If you suddenly saw a tiger in your kitchen, you might initially get a fright, but you would think “how is this possible? How could it get in?” Etc. Schizophrenia is unique in that the part of your brain that reasons this way is entirely impaired. 💖🙌🏻

exactly !! i’d like to think somebody’s keeping tabs on him but still , who knows how long it would take for him to snap if he didn’t take his medication even for 1 day

@@kiya3810 this just hit me like what if the doctor who's following him regularly or the pharmacy he gets his meds at are like warned to report if he misses his scheduled appointments and buying his meds. That could put the people somewhat at ease if it was true.

I'd like to think that; and maybe that he's so horrified by what he did that he is never not taking his pills and is regularly seeing a psychiatrist

I've learned about the Canadian system of assessing whether someone is fit for parole/return to society in my psychology of law class, and it is very unlikely the board would let him go free into society if he didn't seem fully committed to taking his medication and seeing a psychiatrist on the regular.

If he did it while "off his medication" what's to stop him from doing it again??

Likely, they assigned him a caseworker and are keeping tabs on him. Another viewer said he gets his meds injected, so there's that.

I mean I think they probably keep tabs on him and I’m guessing having beheaded and eaten a dude would be pretty motivating to stay on your meds

Please do a video on Kenneka Jenkins 📍 her death was ruled accidental but the whole case is so suspicious. Kenneka Jenkins aged 19, was found inside a latched freezer of the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, on September 10, 2017. 2 years ago

Patients who don't take their meds should be held accountable!!! If he was taking meds and they weren't working, maybe some extra help and understanding, but if you have an avenue for treatment, refuse it, and then commit a crime...?! Come on!!

He voluntarily chose to quit taking his medication. He had been diagnosed, he knew he was ill, and he chose to put others at risk. He is criminally responsible for his actions. Different but related, medical care professionals seem to have a lot more confidence in their ability than is justified by reality, and when the people they've "cured" go on to commit horrific crimes, there is no accountability. Some people just need to be treated in prison, permanently.

People like Vince are in the churches just for the opportunities. I strongly believe that his ex-wife may had betrayed him so much led him to this atrocious crime. He should have not be given a free-ticket out of the justice system. Unfair for what had happened to Tim and his family.

I love it that you said "learning a language is effing hard". So many people criticize or judge people who don't speak perfect english (as a second language) and all I can think is "Cool, try to learn Chinese, then get back to me"

I try to get people to do an exercise. You talk to them but every verb you have to think and say three different ones than the one you would naturally use. It gives a little insight to why people are having a bit of trouble with English.
