Action reveals are a lot of fun. They give the pieces life. I think if we could end with piece on display, so we can appreciate the item itself and all your hard detail work could be a nice wrap up. Just a thought.

I would like to respectfully request for this video and other earlier corset/stay making patterns get added to your stay/corset playlist. They may not be as in depth of a pattern review as the new ones, but they're still helpful in figuring out which patterns are good or perform as expected and which are more trouble. I'm currently trying to plan out my next stays and this video was really helpful, but I almost missed it because it wasn't on the playlist. Thank you so much for your content and time, it's really appreciated!

Liked your reveal! I think a combo is fun, the pretty out and about reveal but then a closeup reveal after to show the details.

Love the reveal style. Thank you for that gorgeous shot of those ducklings! Thanks also for the tip regarding using ribbon to bind. Lovely stays- beautiful fabric. I've been considering making some stays for awhile now- I prefer those to corsets and am very interested in making some 1850s French workwear style stays or jumps, so thanks for your insight.

thank you so much! haha I'm glad you liked the ducklings, they were so cute I just had to include them! I'm also glad you got some useful information from my video 😊I looove stays I want to include them more in my wardrobe! I definitely think stays are more generally wearable as outerwear than corsets as well. Do you post your work anywhere? I'd love to see any stays that you end up making!

You keep spoiling us with amazing content! Love the stays, love the color scheme, love the addition of your grumpy feline witch familiar. The reveal is like a mini cottagecore movie, so-so satisfying to watch (even though your bare shoulders made me shudder, I guess it's much warmer where you are right now 🥶). And I've said it before, but your style is gorgeous. Looking forward for all of the amazing things you've working on!

I love the stays, and the fabric choice, I am super excited to follow the creation of your witch outfit 🖤 I liked the style of reveal, its nice to see how a garment looks when you're actually moving around in it, though I dont object to a more static reveal as well. @moth.faerie 2 жыл бұрын
you can use pretty much any tightly woven cotton for the lining (so like not a gauze or something), for the outer or support fabric something like twill or canvas, if your outer is not your support you can use anything but a quilting cotton will be easiest for your first pair

yeah, coming mostly from cosplay (when I sew for myself) I get to re-wear costumes maybe a few times which really isn't enough and kind of sad! I have taken apart old costumes to re-use things like beads and closures, but I definitely want to sew more things I can wear frequently! I've gotten a lot more into slow fashion lately and can't really afford to replace a whole new wardrobe by purchasing all of it so I want to put my skills to good use 😊

@moth.faerie
@moth.faerie 2 жыл бұрын
depending on the type of fabric I either use a white tailors pencil, a white chalk pencil or just a graphite pencil. the white chalk pencil will definitely not leave any marks but it also doesn't stick around very well, while the graphite will definitely stay forever but if it's getting stitched over it usually isn't visible

You always spend a lot of time talking and some time cutting out, but not so we can see what you are doing...and no time sewing...so we can see how you do it. I sure wish you were more into the making and less into the talking about where you are wearing it...Our own attempts will be going different places...and may even have different reasons. So that hardly matters to us so much. It's the making...the part you hardly ever show...This is just feed back...probably no one else will think to give you...and of course, it's just one person...Your work is always quite a quality product...I would just like to see more of that quality process on the videos.
