Soft roti is a staple in any indian household and my basic dough recipe is in the video we posted a few months back ( • Making Soft and Fluffy... )
The recipe for the dough is as follows:
Ingredients
4 cups all purpose flower
2 curry spoons oil
3 tbs margarine
1 tsp fine salt
2 cups of boiled water
For aloo rotis:
500g potatoes - Boiled skin on
1/4 cup oil
1 small onion finely chopped
1/2 tsp hurdee (tumeric)
1/2 whole jeera
1 tsp fine salt (to taste)
Dhania to garnish
3 Corner rotis:
Margarine brought to room temperature
Sugar rotis:
White sugar
Cinnamon Powder
For Brushing roti while toasting:
2 tbs margarine with 1/4 cup oil
Serve with any curry dish or eat on it's own with a nice cup of tea!
